As part of the new Vision Series, Russ kicks it off with 'A Place to Belong' describing what we are as Eastside Church. Touching on community and acceptance as well as small groups and their importance.

Pastor Russ explores the four chapters of grand story of God's activity in the world. Creation, the good thing that God made. The Fall, the good world corrupted by sin. Redemption, the powerful work of Christ that overcomes sin. Restoration, the promise that God will make the world right again. This history of God's saving work is our history too, and our calling.

This week we hear Pastor Bob share his experience with practicing "Sabbath-keeping". We hear the scriptural importance of Sabbath-rest and even get a practical application as he shares!

Pastor Matt Unruh teaches about what it means to be great and lessons about serventhood from Jesus.

This week we have the privilege of hearing from our board member and elder, Elkin Montalvo. As he teaches in Spanish with an interpreter from Acts 10 we learn that love is the only option we, the church, have to overcome exclusivity and favoritism. So let’s ask God for more love!

In the 8th part of the series, Pastor Russ speaks about how God can move and work in and through us today, drawing a relation to the times when Moses spent time out in a tent away from the Israelite camp.

The Life of Moses continues as Pastor Bob Horn talks about Moses’ four lame excuses when God told him to lead the people of Egypt. Bob uses this scenario to relate it to when God tells us to do something and we say we can’t because we aren’t good enough. God can use you wherever you are at and with whatever you do.

As Moses confronts Pharaoh, God brings plagues on Egypt. In the midst of these terrible events, Pastor Russ brings us a message of hope about a God who wants to restore order to our chaos, bring light to our darkness, and raise beauty from our ashes.

Moses had a lot of detours in his life – so do we. Detours are a part of life. What are we to make of the “burning bushes” in our lives? Pastor Russ explores the lessons of the life of Moses that hold promise for us.

As we look at the beginning of Exodus, Pastor Russ shows us God’s way of using bad circumstance for good things in our lives and in the life of Moses. Russ also draws a relation to what God did with Moses and what God did as Jesus.
