The folks over on Scraping the Vault reached out to us, saying they had the perfect idea for a show. Ignoring that email for several weeks, we eventually learned about one of the most magical television specials to ever run ... Ernest Goes To Splash Mountain. It only ever aired once, in August of 1989, and was never seen again, only to be kept alive on YouTube, like any good piece of cultural ......

The largest expansion of the Disneyland Resort ever has recently been approved by the city of Anaheim, leaving the door open for Disney to bring something really special to the parks. With no real public roadmap, we started to wonder what the Disneyland Forward project would look like if it were up to us. On today's show, we sit down and discuss what our ideas would be if we were in charge. Plus,...

Les Clark was one of Walt's original 9 Old Men. We cover Les' career, including his run animating Mickey Mouse, we cover some Disney News, and more! ---------------- Support the show! Come watch us on Twitch! Subscribe to...

Being a member of the band at any of the Disney Parks is no joke. You have to know how to read music, play multiple instruments, and be willing to march multiple times a day in any kind of weather. But to lead that band takes something else altogether. Stan Freese is a man who has done just that, in two different Disney Parks. We were lucky enough to have him on the show this week to talk to us ab...

In August of 1941, Walt and a team of composers, animators, storytellers, and directors, went on a research trip to South America on behalf ot the US Government. The goal was to gather enough materials to fill out a couple of projects, with a fair amount of goodwill thrown around, too. What Walt got out of the trip was not one but two great films, a series of weird shorts, and an education for his...

The ongoing series of special events at the Disneyland Resort, Disneyland After Dark, has been a success not only for the company, but for those guests who decided to brave the potential crowds in order to have the run of Disneyland. Tonight, we chat with two people who attended the recent "Disney Channel Nite" event to learn what it was that drew them there in the first place, what happens at the...

The Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio is, of course, a very easy name to remember - and even easier to say! On today's show, Erik takes us through the transformations the Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill (& Patio) has been through recently, going from eclectic Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen - full of vibes and personality - to something about a coastal thing. Also, the nearest beach is 30 min away. Plus,...

After almost 100 episodes of the premiere Disney News podcast that airs on this network, this episode is Jeremy's last. He'll be leaving to focus more on his crocheting addiction, taking his midnight strolls through the Wal-Mart parking lot, and really dialling in his petit four recipies. But before he can saunter off into that Spaceship Earth queue forever, he has some news to deliver! We talk ab...

Dick Nunis was a character. Responsible for so much of the framework of how the Disney Company operated internally, he laid the framework for how Cast Members are trained. He had a tremendous work ethic, which led him from the football field to the mail room at Disney, then to Florida and beyond. On today's show, we pay tribute to Dick and the many life lessons he left behind. ---------------- Sup...

It seems that Walt Disney World is going through some things, which could be good or bad, you never really know. On today's show, Jason and Jeremy talk about the new nighttime spectacular being worked on for Epcot, which sparks a long discussion about why things are the way they are there. One of the more spectacular fails the Walt Disney Company has admitted to in recent years, is the closing of the Galactic Starcruiser - that wonderfully over-priced hotel/dinner theater experience that most of us already knew was not long for this Earth when it opened. Recently, rumors are kicking around that it might be returning in some shortened form, which could be fun. Details are scant but w...
