Thanksgiving and Christmas are so deeply rooted in the Christian faith--yet how we spend our time, money, and energy this season can be so...consumerist. This week we look at a few simple-yet-powerful things we can do to bring the Gospel roots of Christmas back into focus.

Too often, we miss the greatest joys and moments of love because we're just too busy, just going through the motions of life. What if we made love a daily commitment? It wouldn't have to always be some monumental act, just simple acts of Jesus-like love shown to others throughout an otherwise ordinary day. Let's see what happens!

A faith-founded sense of optimism isn't just a bumper-sticker quote, or a plastered on smile. It's rooted in a deep faith that God really does work--even through trials and challenges--to make us "more than conquerors" in life (Romans 8:37).
