The beginning of a study of The Revelation 

Grace and Spiritual Fruit Finishing Galatians Chapter 5, learn that we are not under the law, but under grace and we discover some of the beautiful ramifications of that. How can we know the Spirit is in us and we are in the Spirit? How do we bear spiritual fruit? 

We are not tasked with revealing deeper knowledge leading to great spiritual maturity. We need not master convoluted doctrines and back them up with unassailable logic. On the contrary, as ministers of the New Covenant, we do not need to have an agenda with people. Rather, we are called to present the Good News of Jesus Christ as we have opportunity and then to simply leave the outcome to the Lord...

Stymied growth is the natural outcome of religious rule-keeping because it takes the focus off the True Source who energizes us and turns it toward our own performance. This is not where life is found. Obeying the truth is not adherence to a list of rules, edicts, or laws. Obeying the truth is living by faith. It is entrusting our wellbeing to God. It is taking God at His word.

We do ourselves a disservice when we as moder-day believers read the word "law" and think only of the 613 ordinances handed down by Moses.  Like some of you, I spent years living life on a spiritual rollercoaster of failure, groveling, and rededication. The result was that I remained spiritually immature and ineffective.  Find out more in this episode. 

Light is spoken about in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The Good news is that the Light is the great gift of God to the world. In this episode we will see the incredible thread of the promise of Light and it's fulfillment in the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is cause for great celebration, and nothing is more worthy to be celebrated. 

Galatians 4:21-31 Over and over we hear the refrain “he who has ears, let him hear.” Willingness to hear or rebellious refusal. These are the choices we must all make. This part of Galatians shows the good news that it is not our obedience to the rules, rites, and rituals of religion, but willingness to listen to God and trust Him. 

Galatians 4:8-20 In this episode we learn about a beautiful enslavement, God knowing you knowing God, relational ministry, and misplaced zeal.

Continuing our study of Galatians brings us to chapter 4. This time we learn the true meaning of baptism and how it relates to being clothed with Christ and the white robes in The Revelation. 

The Covenant Stands The Law is Inferior to the Promise As we continue studying Galatians the status of the Law as compared to the promise of God comes into stark relief. In this episode, we learn the importance of the Law having been delivered by a mediator and we see how good the Good News really is. 

Abraham, Covenants, Law, and Faith All these topics are covered in a few verses in Galatians Chapter 3. The glorious truth that sets us free is uncovered as Paul uses the Hebrew Scriptures (the Old Testament) to make his points about Religion and Relationship. 

Paul’s emotionally charged message to the Galatians saints is that it’s foolish to think that religious practices have any value in providing salvation, righteousness, or ongoing acceptance by God. In this episode we dive deep into the first few verses of Chapter 3.

The fourth in the Galatians study. This time we look at peer pressure, straightforward truth, and life in Christ Jesus. 

Continued study of Galatians brings us to chapter 2. Paul visits the Apostles in Jerusalem and we are told of false believers, spies, slavery, and the preservation of the truth. 

Galatians highlights the difference between religion and relationship with start, and sometimes surprising clarity. Paul's words about those who would try to institute self righteous act into the Galatians church make very clear just how important this issue is. 

GALATIANS 1: Jesus to the Rescue The book of Galatians speaks to a problem faced by the early Church, but it is a problem we still face today. In this episode we begin a series of studies in Galatians. It is my prayer that they shed new light on the war between religion and relationship. 

Many think of hope as a kind of wish for something to happen,but what is hope? What does the Bible say about hope? Why is hope important? 

Why is faith called the substance of things hoped for. What does it mean that it is the evidence of things not seen?  In this episode I take a deep look at those questions. 

There are two components to the Gospel, but many only hear about one of them. Mercy and grace. Both were given at the cross. 

Too many of God's children feel guilty, ashamed, even fearful because their attitudes and actions do not reflect the new heart and new spirit they've been given. Scripture speaks about this in Hebrews. It says that those who have been made pure need not be sin conscious. In this episode, I dig into that and provide some encouragement for those who struggle.

What are we saying when we talk about the blood of Jesus? Why do we say it has power? The amazing truth of the Gospel is wrapped up in this idea. Let's explore it together. 

A covenant is a very significant agreement. It's secured by blood. Our relationship with God is based on His covenant with us. In this episode I look at the old covenant God made with the Hebrew nation, and the new covenant He has made to replace it.
