Monster in My Podcast: Floating Horror 16.03.2020

A blooming onion but for cheese.

[PREVIEW] Bonfireside Chat Musical Identity: Sekiro 15.03.2020

This is it, the last of our modern FromSoft soundtrack analyses. Sekiro sounds very different from the other Souls soundtracks, for obvious reasons, but it still contains lots of touches that make it fit in with its brothers and sisters. Listen in to hear us talk about what works and what doesn't.

Everything to Guppy 436: Chapter 3 15.03.2020

Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

Days of Future Cast 116: Stop Subtweeting My Dick (New X-Men 144) 14.03.2020

Reminder that you can read along with and ahead of the show by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited (we don't get paid for you doing that, so it's not an ad, it's just a cool service). You can also use Comixology, or buy the trades from your local comic book shop (the preferred method, if we're being honest). Be sure to check with your local library to see if they have them there! Music by Gary, podcas...

Everything to Guppy 435: Lazarus' Rags 14.03.2020

Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

Monster in My Podcast: Faceless God 13.03.2020

Welp, we're sick of Egypt now!

[PREVIEW] Adaptation Decay 36: Mazes and Monsters 13.03.2020

D12s... Not even once. This very boring movie is a relic of the Satanic Panic of the 1980s, when concerned parents everywhere got very scared of Dungeons and Dragons without actually learning about the game. Tom Hanks takes a leading role in a story about a college student who loses track of the distinction between fantasy and reality, and his impossibly rich and preppy friends try to lie to the p...

The Level 320: Whoppers Are Too Relevant 13.03.2020

Kole, Ben, Dennis, and David talk about This is the Police, Sunless Skies, and we do a Free Play Multiplayer. The Grind: Ben: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Disco Elysium. This is the Police. Sunless Skies. Dennis: Super Mario Odyssey. Quake Live. Diabotical. Fun Center. David: The Division 2: Warlords of New York. Kole: NOTHING. Multiplayer: Free Play. The End Boss: Amnesia: Rebirth revealed. Dest...

[PREVIEW] Watch Out for Fireballs! 270: The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (Premium) 12.03.2020

There are really two Ocarina of Times. The one that came out in 1998 that's undeniably groundbreaking and an aesthetic triumph, and the one that you can play in 2020 that has a lot of ups and downs. We give this sacred cow an honest evaluation in this episode.

Watch Out for Fireballs! 269: Axiom Verge 12.03.2020

Metroidvanias are pretty common, but games that aim to ape the original Metroid are few and far between. Axiom Verge is a 2015 indie game with a distinct glitchy NES aesthetic and some pretty great powerups. It also has some problems with its combat and main character. You can't take away the beauty of those sprite designs or that music, however. Support Watch Out for Fireballs!

Everything to Guppy 434: Godhead 12.03.2020

Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

Monster in My Podcast: Effigy of Hate 11.03.2020

Nyarlathotep knows how to use war to manipulate mankind. No jokes, here, it's just a really good idea.

Days of Future Cast 115: Scott Cyclops (New X-Men 143) 11.03.2020

Reminder that you can read along with and ahead of the show by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited (we don't get paid for you doing that, so it's not an ad, it's just a cool service). Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

Monster in My Podcast: Dweller in Darkness 09.03.2020

Try again, August.

Abject Suffering 340: Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution 09.03.2020

A relic from an era that reached peak Talky.

[PREVIEW] Bonfireside Chat Appendix: King's Field Responses 08.03.2020

We read your responses to King's Field (US )/ King's Field II (JP). We all miss the atmosphere and jank!

Everything to Guppy 432: Scolex 08.03.2020

Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

Monster in My Podcast: Dark Demon 06.03.2020

Why make up a new myth when a perfectly good one is already there?

[PREVIEW] Exquisite Suffering 88: Urban Yeti 06.03.2020

It's a classic fish out of water story, and you must help our Blacktop Bigfoot learn how to serve food, swim in the sewer, and ultimately: fuck. This is a crazy game that feels like an artifact from another dimension, and it's kind of difficult to describe in words.

The Level 319: Ambience Ambulance 06.03.2020

Kole, Dennis, Jala, and David talk about the Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo, World of Horror, and we ask you which games you love, but would never recommend. The Grind: Jala: Trine 2.
