The monastic community is under the protection of the His Grace Bishop John Stephen Pazak , C.S.s. R. DD, the Bishop of the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of the Protection of Mary, Phoenix, Arizona. Inspired by the Apostolic Community of the Acts of the Apostles, the biblical virtues of poverty, chastity, and obedience are lived in imitation of the traditional monastic rules of the East.
