DRIVING THEOLOGY

Religion EN ↓ 421 episodes

This podcast is recorded in my car as I drive to work. I do it this way so that I can work through ideas organically without the luxury of a Bible or any other books to fall back on. This way I know how I sound when I talk on these subjects and I can listen back to what I said and see the path and progression of my own theology and understanding of Jesus. I do not edit so as to keep discussions as raw and real as possible, although I do pause from time to time, like when I recently spilled my coffee or when I get a call.

There is much Calvinism that has made it into modern Evangelicalism and Christianity as a whole, my tradition (past) included. In this podcast, I go into more death on the ideas of Calvinism, what I agree with, but mostly what I don't

If you are going to criticise the theology of a group, you had better be sure that you are standing on decen theological ground. The meanings of words can change over time. Many do. Still, we can't read words in the bible and interpret them with their modern meanings.
