Jason talks Twins baseball with Dan Hayes from The Athletic every Friday. Unfortunately our phone connection wasn't great, so Jason and producer Dan Cook talk about Louie Varland's return with Toronto, the inconsistency of the bullpen and owner Tom Pohlad.

Jason was so stunned by the reaction earlier in the show, he had to bring the topic back for the 5pm audience - should having a beer at lunch be verboten for legislators? Are some jobs where it's obvious that drinking is a bad idea different than other jobs, or should we treat everything the same?

Missing a major portion of their roster due to injury and illness, the Timberwolves still managed to put away the Nuggets and win the series. Star Tribune beat reporter Chris Hine joins the show with his analysis.

Two legislators appeared in front of an ethics committee today after they were stopped for drinking and driving. DWI is wrong, full stop. But some of the rhetoric at the capitol makes it sound like even having a drink with lunch is dead wrong. Jason thinks that's crazy and talks with listeners.
