Yes it's true that urban sounds of police sirens accompany metropolitan Rick in this recording, but the repeating smoke alarm low battery chirp is entirely Paul's fault. 

It's time for another clipshow. We discover the noisiest food Paul could eat during a podcast recording, and discuss Trump and Paul's local community Facebook group. It turns out that Paul is a dog person and Rick is a cat person which explains an awful lot about the podcast interpersonal dynamics.

Joined by special guest Jacob who wishes to make a case for the movie Arrival (covered in episode 1), while Paul reminisces about Stickle Bricks, Rick calls a genuine(?) missing persons hotline and has to look up how to spell 'reminisces'. They manage to rise from the ashes of this dumpster fire to review a movie. The movie this week is incidentally, The Phoenix Incident .

MInd-virus zombie movie Pontypool this week. Paul tries to break his brain looking at op-art, but we discover that it is already broken. 

Passengers (2016) raises all kinds of ethical dilemmas for Rick and Paul (who is now recording from a roadside). Ethical questions like "is it okay to try and have phone sex with an AI?"

An important episode in which Paul finds another noisy piece of furniture to record the podcast from, we learn which was Paul's favourite Spice Girl, and thanks to a discussion of the 1977 movie Suspiria we also learn what a transom window is.
