Paul reveals his most profound thought of the past 11 years as the 2012 movie Cloud Atlas is regarded with mild suspicion. Rick meanwhile is keen on the game Disco Elysium .

Whereas Paul and Rick sometimes confidently guide the listener through the layers of hidden meaning, for this movie, David Lynch's epic Inland Empire , you are essentially on your own.  But they do discuss Newton's laws of motion, and follow-up work on mosquitos in some entertaining reference videos .

Monarchy, mutilation, and mood are among the topics beginning with 'm' which for all we know have been edited out of this episode discussing Norwegian film The Trip . 

Back to traditional Drive-By Cinema territory, a lock-down viral apocalypse movie made in 2017, It Comes At Night thrills Paul. Rick notes that it seems to be more like an ebola outbreak, referencing 90's book The Coming Plague .

The movie is  the waking dream called Dave Made A Maze , not "Dave Made A Movie" which is what Paul thought. He also details 4 things on his 3 item list, references a '60 long foot shooner' and pronounces "apparel" in a weird way. Rick of course, is beyond reproach. Ok Go make some entertaining music videos. And it's an Ames Room.  "Glow worms on the beach".

On Netflix, Choose Or Die hits some nostalgia notes for Rick, who talks about armchair treasure hunts like Masquerade, Hareraiser and Pimania.

Paul and Rick are watching Children Of Men for this episode, a film which Home Secretary Priti Patel thinks is a blueprint for immigration policy. They tackle the YouTube road vigilante CyclingMikey . And real-life superhero podcast The Superhero Complex . Paul's tennis skills are compared unfavourably to those of Boris Becker.

Returning to director David Lynch for Mulholland Drive , Rick relies on cleverer people to help him understand the layers of meaning, including this analysis on YouTube . Paul holds Rick to account for his comments about the year 1986.
