Welcome to Drilling Down! by Kyle Gray
End Song (1998) 09.11.2017 1:23
End song was just that. The last song on the album from Crossing The Parallel. A nod to our musical heroes. Mainly Springsteen.
Open Door (1998) 09.11.2017 7:02
From my 1998 album Crossing The Parallel. This baby goes back. Written with Mark Bernard it epitomizes the mid 90's. Open Door is the first successful song I ever wrote. Believe it or not, I wrote it while I still lived with my parents while I was trying to pull my life back together from nuclear implosion. The metaphor with the cross was new back then, while tired nowadays, It still holds up...
Alvison Street (1998) 09.11.2017 4:46
A hammond B-3. What else do you want?
Angels On High (1998) 09.11.2017 4:39
From my 1998 album Crossing The Parallel. This baby goes back. Written with Mark Bernard it epitomizes the mid 90's. Angels on High was a crowd favorite at shows. I always made sure I made plenty of rip-off hand gestures from Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows.
Bleed / Everything I Need (1998) 09.11.2017 5:01
From my 1998 album Crossing The Parallel. This baby goes back. Written with Mark Bernard it epitomizes the mid 90's. I'm proud of it, what with the lack of technology we all had back then, digital was brand new. This was the opening track. Set phaser to stun.
Chances (2000) 09.11.2017 3:07
The Opening track to my 2001 album Asleep Inside. It got a little carried away.
Ransom (2000) 09.11.2017 5:24
From my 2001 album Asleep Inside. Ransom is the Garden of Eden. It's you and me. It's the price God would pay with His Son for all my failures. It's a love story. It's your story. If you let Him.
Lifter (2000) 09.11.2017 3:32
From my 2001 album Asleep Inside. Lifter is fun. If you're not singing by the very end you don't have a soul. Written for radio play it fit perfectly. Our engineer Todd Brady would always make us cut a better version of whatever piece we were working on, he would always say Push It Baby in the talkback from the engineering room into the vocal booth. It became a thing. We kept it front lo...
