Dr. Kenya Osi Radoli's - Tembo Sounds - The Culture

In the dungeon #23 was another exciting show that had the team tease the audience with some classic house gems. You want to listen to this set.

We decided to throw a tembo sound party on the air, where we put together a set that we typically orchestrate for some dynamic dance parties we host.

We started with a bang and dropped a medley of smooth house jams.

We needed to go back to the rhumba culture, paying homage to some of the great musicians.

We kicked-off show#379 with another Tembo Reggae set. We enjoyed playing some of our 2020 favorites.

Our second hour had us diving into some bongo sounds from Tanzania. It has been a long time coming.

August is carnival month. The first hour of our show pays homage to some new reggae 2020 joints never played before. We also featured Julian Marley's new album, "As I am." Enjoy this one. 

Part 2 of this show had us throw down a blend of HipHop and Afro House to keep the show jamming.

Although Rhumba music landed on the East Coast of the US in the 1930s, we don't hear it playing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's media market.
