Dr. James Beckett: Sports Card Insights

Our friend and colleague Mark Anderson sadly has passed away - Joe White and Rich Klein join me in honoring his memory and his significant part in the birth, structure, and growth of BGS.

Now that I am releasing only three episodes a week, MWF, these recaps will become less frequent, but still something that allows me to further reflect on the previous episodes - thanks for listening. 

Mike and I both recently bought larger collections this year and we explore the methods we used to break down the collection into manageable and sellable segments.

Card collectors and investors can be an addictive behavior with respect to their connection with sports cards - what do you do when you see a collector friend getting in too deep in terms of money or time?

Danny has had several interesting career paths outside the sports card hobby including sport teams and radio - this is our second battle of questions but perhaps not our last - thanks Danny!

Football is quarterback-centric in terms of card prices - Ray Guy was the best at what he did, but not being a QB puts his card values not in disrespect, but clearly not in the upper echelon.  RIP Ray Guy.

John had a number of provocative questions - essentially how green is our hobby and industry?  How big of a concern is this or will it be?
