#36 - Pandemic Lockdown, Part 3 19.04.2020

The guys are back during "lockdown" to go over a bunch of stuff that they are watching/playing currently.  Weirdly, basketball came up as the new Michael Jordan documentary, The Last Dance, is set to come out.  Then some upcoming shows are discussed as well as the, Together At Home, fundraiser concert (which, was NOT good!).  Dan talks about the new Amazon show, ZeroZeroZero, as wel...

#35 - Pandemic Lockdown, Part 2 12.04.2020

Raul and Dan continue where they left off last episode, discussing how they are passing the time with the current health crisis in full effect. A few books are discussed as well as more of Dan's weekly TV schedule, and more on all the shows they are watching.

#34 - Pandemic Lockdown, Part 1 05.04.2020

We make our epic return and its under crazy circumstances. With the pandemic in full swing, we convene from the safety of our individual homes to broadcast an update of what we each have been watching and doing while locked inside. We also cover some upcoming shows that are coming out in April that we are interested in watching. Pandemic be damned, we always will be Down To Watch!

#33 - Bad Boys For Life 28.01.2020

Dan is joined by guest-host and good friend Jonnie (OG former co-host on DTW since episode 1!), as well as a few new guests/friends, James and Natalia. Listen as these ol' chums discuss all things Bad Boys including references to all movies in the franchise. Per usual, as any discussion does (you know you listen for the tangents!), the convo veers far and wide into many topics, so listen ahead to...

#32 - The Witcher (Episode 1) 13.01.2020

Here's the thing; Dan was very skeptical about this show from jump, but Raul wanted to give it a chance as he is somewhat more into the fantasy genre then Dan but still not really into. Needless to say, we didn't really enjoy The Witcher (streaming now on Netflix), and Dan for sure won't keep watching but Raul may give it a few more episodes. Tangent's aplenty in this offering, and most of the tim...

#31 - Undone (Episode 1 & 2) 07.01.2020

Dan and Raul watched the first few episodes of this new Amazon-original series that they had heard really positive things about and were curious to see if it lived up to the hype. The show is animated in a very unique manner called rotoscoping, where everything is filmed like a normal live-action show or movie but then is painted over to look animated, and Undone utilizes this decision in a great...

#30 - Living With Yourself (Season 1) 30.12.2019

It's the last episode of the decade! Dan and Raul are once again joined by special-guest Hannah to discuss new shows that will premiere in January of the new year, and then discuss the new Netflix show, Living With Yourself, starring Paul Rudd in dual roles as the same person, what's not to like?!

#29 - Servant (Episode 1) 22.12.2019

Dan and Raul discuss the new show, Servant, from brand new platform, AppleTV+. Discussed also are some of the new shows on the streaming service, but we decided this new series was the most interesting one to cover. We also thought that it was created/directed/written by M. Night Shyamalan, but this is NOT the case, and in fact he only is an executive producer and director of two of the seasons ep...

#28 - His Dark Materials (Episode 1) 15.12.2019

Dan and Raul dive into this new HBO fantasy-adventure show, and both guys aren't the biggest fans of the genre so they weren't expecting to like this, but listen ahead to see where they land on daemon's, Dust, and scholastic sanctuary?!

#27 - The Mandalorian (Season 1, Episode 1) 01.12.2019

Dan and Raul delve into the first live-action Star Wars TV series that just premiered recently on the new Disney+ streaming service.  We actually covered parts of the first 3 episodes so you can get a flavor of how this show morphs and gets better episode by episode, and DTW should be back in 2020 with a full season discussion on this show.  Also, we cover some TV shows we are interested...

#26 - Watchmen (Episode 1) 25.11.2019

Dan and Raul have both read the original source material on which this show is based, so there is much setup and background info to get thru before delving into this really great/wonderful/ambitious series that nobody thought possible or saw coming into the world. The show looks amazing but also discussing many issues related to our world today, even if the show takes place in an alternate reality...

#25 - Night of the Living Dead / The Return of the Living Dead 28.10.2019

For Halloween Week the guys decide to go back and cover 2 of the early "dead" films, although they aren't exactly as connected as would be assumed! "Night" started it all over 50 years ago, but in the 80's "Return" brought zombies back but from a different and more comedic level as the rules were changed as far as how the dead operate and function. The witching hour is upon us, luckily for you thi...

#24 - Between Two Ferns: The Movie 21.10.2019

Dan and Raul delve into this straight-to-Netflix film based on the popular Funny or Die web-series, and luckily they have some knowledge on the creative team behind it as well. One would not expect a film based on a faux-talk show on the internet to be appealing, but luckily this movie was really well thought out and comes thru with great ideas, and utilizes the essence of the original interview s...

#23 - American Horror Story: 1984 (Episode 1) 08.10.2019

The guys discuss the newest addition to the very successful horror anthology TV series, American Horror Story, and this ones goes back in time to the 80's to focus on slasher genre. Dan is very new to this world as he had only ever seen a bit of the very first series, but Raul is well-versed and has seen many seasons of the show although admittedly fell off and stopped watch a while ago. Listen ah...

#22 - Akira (1988) 23.09.2019

The 80's essential film series continues with this seminal Anime movie that Raul, as a huge Anime fan, was well aware of while Dan had heard about it forever and knew the poster but had never seen. Both of us dug this and it was good fun discussing the wider world of Anime and how this wonderful film fits into that landscape.

#21 - Willow 15.09.2019

Dan and Raul go back to the 80's again to cover an "essential" film of the decade, but WARNING we were not that into it!  We cover some of the technical aspects that made this movie groundbreaking as well as accolades it has collected, but overall as an older film that both guys didn't embrace as a child when nostalgia would have blossomed for the title, it was hard to like this fantasy flick...

#20 - On Becoming a God in Central Florida (Season 1, Episodes 1 & 2) 09.09.2019

Dan and Raul dive into the new Showtime series, and it's story related to multi-level marketing is very identifiable to almost any adult of the last 30 years. The discussion delves into our experiences related to this "pyramid scheme" industry, and how the series does a great job of presenting this story in a very appropriately dark and comedic light.

#19 - The Boys (Season 1) 18.08.2019

Dan and Raul cover the new show from Amazon, and boy is there a ton of violence and mayhem to delve into including a discussion on graphic novels, Garth Ennis, and what makes an indie comic as it all relates to this loud, intense, edgy new series.

#18 - Veronica Mars (Season 4, Episode 1) 05.08.2019

Dan and Raul tackle the first episode of the newest Veronica Mars season that just premiered on Hulu (All of the first 3 seasons and the 8 new episodes of season 4 available now). While Dan had seen only the original pilot episode from season 1, Raul, the real Mars-head, has seen all of the first 3 seasons and the movie. Many necessary questions about what happened in the past on the show are aske...

#17 - Poltergeist 28.07.2019

Dan and Raul return to the 80's for another addition in our "Essential 80's" series, and discuss the un-officially official Spielberg film, Poltergeist. Before getting to that film chat we discuss TV shows that will premiere in the coming month of August that we potentially are interested in seeing.

#16 - Stranger Things (Season 3) 22.07.2019

Dan and Raul discuss the newest season of this great Netflix show, and its NOT purely a love-fest as we go deep on plot details and character choices that we had issues with. But its still a great show and immensely watchable! Give us more!

#15 - Spider-Man: Far From Home 15.07.2019

Dan and Raul discuss the newest Spidey film, and the first Marvel movie to come out after the gigantic End Game. Needless to say Peter is going thru some traumatic, grief-stricken times since the death of Iron Man and not sure if can live up to what he is suppose to become. With this being the first film of "phase 4" of the MCU we have much to discuss and breakdown, enjoy!

#14 - Highlander 07.07.2019

Dan and Raul blast to the past to discuss the first title in their new "Essential 80's" film series, and so it begins with this very cult action movie.  We all know the line, "There can be only ONE", but does this film deserve the cult status it has received?  Listen ahead to find out!   More 80's film discussions are coming, too!

#13 - Good Omens (Season 1) 24.06.2019

Dan and Raul discuss the brand new Amazon original show, Good Omens! Even if you are more of a demon than an angel there is plenty of holy water to go around as we tackle this series of 6 episodes, which has one of the best casts in recent memory and visually continues to show us how great and cinematic TV can be!

#12 - Swamp Thing (Episode 1) / NOS4A2 (S01E01) 17.06.2019

Dan and Raul discuss two new pilots for shows that just came out. We decided even though Swamp Thing, the new 10 episode live-action show from DC (episodes available weekly on their own DC-Universe streaming platform) has been cancelled, we still wanted to discuss this show that was already getting very good early reviews. Also the new show on AMC, NOS4A2 has just come out and seemed right up our...
