It all comes down to this: is the Jesus you know the real Jesus? Is the Jesus you’ve learned about in church, or from your parents, or from your own life experiences the actual Jesus? Or is He a pale imitation of who He says He is, or who you’ve always wanted or needed Him to be? Is He the Jesus of the Old Covenant or the New Covenant?

Does it seem that “God’s Will” is a mysterious thing? Something we are supposed to seek, but never really know what it is. We hope we get close, because if we miss it, we’ve lost out on what He really wants for us. And then we wonder what that perfect thing was He wanted for us. Then we assume He’s disappointed with us because we missed it and now He has to give us the less than perfect path inste...

Redemption is Who God is. Because He is good and He is love, He cannot be anything other than our Redeemer. It is His very character.

When Jesus cried out His last words on the cross what was He announcing the completion of or was He announcing the beginning of something? What was finished and what had just begun?  For the new to begin something had to conclude.

We can “know” all these truths about God’s goodness, and yet, in the middle of the big storms of life, we feel as if we’ve forgotten all of it! What are the obstacles that get in our way of believing the truth about God?
