It's October, and we loooove Ghost Ships!! We're covering the most famous mystery of the high seas - the Mary Celeste. In 1872, the 100ft Brigantine (which means it was double-masted) was found floating in the open seas, the cargo was still there, and the ship wasn't sinking, but nobody was on board. The 10 people (including a 2-year-old) that had left NY for Genoa, Italy were never seen again. Th...

We're in Government Shutdown mode, reminiscing about the 90s when the Clinton Government shut down. When paid employees can't work, guess who can?! Unpaid interns. Today, we re-visit the story of Pocahontas - and we mention the predator John Smith, who acted like they were lovers to get attention and fame, which is gross because she was literally a child. Eventually, after being kidnapped and baptized (related events), Pocahontas marries another white dude named John and dies in smokey ol' England at a very young age. It's not a fairy tale - but she seems pr...

Next, Farz takes us on a journey through the fight for LGBTQ+ rights - people who have always existed but not always been able to tell their truth publically. Unsurprisingly, American prude Senator Joseph McCarthy, and his team were behind this 'purple herring' where they pushed people out of government for being 'unfit.' We wish we could say things are 100% fixed since then, but alas, we still ha...

Outwardly, they would dress the children the same and take them on vacations!   It's weir...

This week’s true crime story is about murdering nurse Lucy Letby and the history of infanticide. We don’t know why anyone would ever hurt a baby - at the end of this convo, we have no answers; we are just exhausted and so sad. This is a recent story of a nurse gone bad… and you are supposed to trust your hospital staff - especially with lives. We mean, that’s obvious, which makes it so much more t...

Ok. Taylor does not hold back here on how mad she is at this week’s historical subject – in 1562 Franciscan Friar Diego de Landa was so convinced that the Mayan gods were the work of the Christian Devil that he burned all of the Mayan history he could find. Literally, burned in a pile of fire, books, and sculptures, and histories.  At the very least it’s a tragedy of epic proportions and only adds...

This week Farz tells the true crime story of the kidnapping of Colleen Stan, by the unfortunately named Hookers. It’s a survival story, but not before several long years kept in unimaginable horror. We’re going back to India for the horrible, horrible story of the Nithari serial murders - Young girls and sex workers went missing in Delhi in 2006, their bodies found tossed into the sewer like garbage. This week starts with Taylor taking us through the craziest year in English history - 1066. It started with King Edward the Confessor yelling ‘It was meeeeee’ - just kidding - he died (and probably confessed to a Priest right before). Anyway! Now lots of people think they are the heir to the throne and they start to fight for it from all shores of the British Isles.  There are Vikings, there are N...
