This week we caught up with Pip Flower from Pip Flower Working Dogs. Pip lets us into a little bit about herself and how she got to working on the land in Australia, all about her Huntaways and Border Collies along with how she keeps her dogs ready for the trial ring and work.

 

This week what had a chat with Sean Barrett from Black Dog Livestock Education. Sean chats to us about how he got into working dogs and livestock education, touches on his process of weaner breaking as well as what he likes in dogs.

We caught up with Jim Luce from Coogee Kelpies this week. Jim talks us through some of his old dogs like PHILSCREEK SAM (Pat), some trialing stories and what he liked in his dogs. 

This week what sat down with Emelia Walton from Gettem Working Dogs from the South West Slopes of NSW. Emelia chats to us about how she got into the Agricultural Industry and working dogs, how she went about getting her first job. Along with what she likes in a dog, how she likes to approach training and starting young dogs and so much more.

This week we chat with Peter Griffiths from Allstates Kelpies. Peter lets us get to know a bit about him and what he has done, he talks us through his training program, what he likes to see in his dogs along with so much more.

This week we chat to Thomas English from Precision Working Dogs. Tom lets us in on some of his background and what he has done for work in the past, we discuss how he likes to start cattle, and what he likes in his dogs. We also chat about his livestock education and dog training schools, and what he likes about running them along with some of the concepts he teaches. 

This week we caught up with Gavin Carr from Carrdoon Droughtmasters & Working Dogs. Gavin lets us in on a fair bit about himself, his start in the agricultural industry, how he starts his pups and a fair bit about some of his philosophy on breeding and working dogs.

This week we caught up with our local friend Danny Kerr from D.K Stock 'N' Dogs. After only three years trialing and training dogs, Danny is the Inaugural Australian Utility Champion with his Border Collie Mingle. Danny discusses his background with horses, dairy farming and how he got into working dogs, along with what he enjoys about it. We also chat about his experiences and what he has learnt...

This week was caught up with David Hines from Tarcoola Border Collies in Victoria. We discuss David's life and where his dogs and jazz band have taken him. We touch on what David likes in his dogs, 3 sheep trialing as well as some amazing stories. David also, plays us a great tune at the end of this podcast, a great end to a wonderful interview. 

This week we had a chat with Charles Williams from Queensland. Charles is a fifth generation farmer and discusses what kept him on the land, how he uses his dogs each week and how he goes about finding dogs whilst being so remote. 

This week was a last minute catch up with Paul Doyle from Enduro. Paul discusses his experience with his own dogs and the types of trials he competes in. We also touch on what Paul has learnt about working dogs in his recent travels as well as a little bit out the Enduro products. We caught up with Dale Thompson from Broken River Kelpies and Contracting this week. Dale talks us through some of his bloodlines and where they are today, his experience from cutting horses to working dogs aswell as training and trialing. 

We caught up with Rick Jones from Northern NSW this week. Rick is a contractor and does a lot of goat mustering as well. He discusses his likes and dislikes with dogs, why he found himself attracted to the kelpie and what he needs/likes in a dog to get his job done. We also touch on breeding and trialing with Rick.

This week we sat down with Wayne Gelven from Yanven Kelpies in SA. Wayne talks us through a little bit about his background with horses, dogs and his upbringing. Together we discuss Wayne's selection criteria for breeding along with his training program. This is one to enjoy!

We caught up with Josh Abell from Ability Pastoral Services and Working Dogs. Josh discussed his experiences with regenerative grazing, contract mustering, weaner and cleanskin education, breeding and experiences with both Kelpies & Border Collies as well as touching on his experiences cattle trialing. 

This week we caught up with Michael Longton from Rooten Brook Sheepdogs in the UK. Michael talks about the what he likes in a dog, his experiences in the industry, trialing and training as well as some interesting stories along the way.

This week we caught up with Paul MacPhail from Beloka Kelpie Stud in Victoria. Paul chat about how get got into working dogs, the attributes he likes to see in them as well as what he looks for when thinking about joining dogs. Paul also talks a lot about training and how he does training schools and regular lessons. 

This week we sat down with Grace Halsted & Zac Ede from the Hunter Valley in New South Wales. Grace and Zac talk about thier background in the agricultural, horse and working dog industries and where they are today within it. We discuss how they like to work their dogs, breeding and trialing.

We caught up with Travis Scott from Scott Bros Contracting and Larnach Kelpies. Travis chats with us about how he ended up in the agricultural industry and working dogs. How his day to day life looks as well as his thoughts on styles/types of dogs and their work ethics along with much much more.
