DMM DOWNLOADS

DMM NOCO uses a discovery method of reading the bible, and we sometimes hear pushbacks on this method. Discovery Bible Studies are designed to help people read the bible and hear from God without having to hear a sermon, understand the full context of the scriptures, or certainly not have formal training on reading the bible. The focus is having the lost read the bible for themselves not for the s...

North Americans have a growing awareness to the need to not just be disciples of Jesus, but to be disciple makers of Jesus. As we learn a lot through practice here in Northern Colorado we continue to be amazed at the need for disciple making, and as we are more aware of DMM here in North America we are also hearing more pushback against DMM. This episode is a conversation about a common pushback o...

Change is hard for many of us, and sometimes the changes that are offered challenge us and even can cause us to be defensive. Today we open a discussion on the idea of deconstruction in the western church. What does that mean in light of DMM, and how do we engage the culture when so many people are a part of the Nones.    DMM Downloads is a ministry of DMM NOCO. Our priority is to unleash Disciple...

The only way out of the dark for the lost is for someone to bring the light into the darkness and for there to be a guide to lead them out of the darkness. We who are in Christ Jesus were once lost, but now we’ve been found. We know the darkness, and we know the struggles of life which are common to man. We need to go and bring the light to those in darkness, into the cave where the lost are stuck...

We are life long learners, and we want to keep learning from the Lord. One new lesson Jeff is being taught s that his calling and purpose is to help reduce lostness in Northern Colorado and DMM is the best way he knows how to do it. We are both compelled by the heart of God to love the lost in our region of Northern Colorado. We are compelled by God’s heart to seek and save the lost. We are commit...

We continue a previous conversation about being co-workers with Jesus. This time we look at Matthew 9 and 10 and at the work of Jesus and how Jesus is inviting us to work with him.  DMM Downloads is a ministry of DMM NOCO. Our priority is to unleash Disciple Making movements in Northern Colorado. We do this through bringing awareness, training, coaching, and resourcing individuals, groups, and chu...

Today we share four responses to DMM by legacy churches this week. How will we embrace change to see the gospel flourish in natural networks where we live, learn, work, and play? To keep the system of church running is laborious. How can we have the time to consider a different way even if we think a different way is a good idea. Here in Northern Colorado the church continues to decline in numbers...

1 Corinthians 3:9 says we are co-workers with Christ. What does this mean for us today? What work is Jesus doing that he is inviting us into being a co-worker with him? In this episode we explore how often we seem to be doing work that is adjacent to the work of Jesus, but maybe the work of Jesus is more clear and simple than our work. If we are co-workers, then let's do the work Jesus is doing. D...

We're back with a DMM Download focused on church being a system or ecosystem. Systems are built and ordered while ecosystems are organic, messy, flexible. They are more like a garden than a machine. Church in America seems to build church system rather than nurturing God’s church ecosystem. This is part 2 of the mini series.  DMM Downloads is a ministry of DMM NOCO. Our priority is to unleash Disc...

Today we discuss more about the System and the Ecosystem and specifically how ritual replaced relationship in our churches. We discuss how the machine of church is interfering with the work of God through relationships in church, and how church in Northern Colorado could use more relationships to support growth rather than more machine to produce growth.  As we enter 2026 we are committed to incre...

In this episode we continue to discuss the System and the Ecosystem. What Jesus said seems to have been misheard in these later days. There is more to being the church than some of us have experienced. Can we expect a new thing here in North America? Will you pray for it?  As we enter 2026 we are committed to increasing prayer and practice of DMM Habits, and learning from others and from the Lord...

The destination is the redemption of all people…the way to get there is diverse. So each of us at the start of the year can refocus on the vision of Jesus…to seek and save the lost, and we can ask God to show each of us what route we’re supposed to take to get there.  As we enter 2026 we are committed to increasing prayer and practice of DMM Habits, and learning from others and from the Lord about...

Happy New Year! Happy 2026! We are back and starting the new year off and a new season of DMM Downloads with a conversation that we hear often from church leaders. Will it work here?  As we enter 2026 we are committed to increasing prayer and practice of DMM Habits, and learning from others and from the Lord about his heart to seek the save the lost. Let's learn together! DMM Downloads is a minist...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We end 2025 with a DMM Download focused on church being a system or ecosystem. Systems are built and ordered while ecosystems are organic, messy, flexible. They are more like a garden than a machine. Church in America seems to build church system rather than nurturing God’s church ecosystem.  We wish you a very blessed and Merry Christmas season and a very happy...

Merry Christmas everyone! We are one week away from celebrating Christmas in Northern Colorado, and we landed today's episode on an unlikely biblical story- the story of Jonah. The assignment given to Jonah was arise and go, but Jonah went in the opposite direction of God's love for the people of Nineveh. Jonah basically said no. I have heard it said that apathy is the opposite of love…Jonah said...

Delivery systems assessment offers new ideas for new times. We are amazed at the need for a paradigm shift in how we think about and act as the church. In this episode we talk about the need to evaluate and assess the delivery system of the church. How is our delivery system working in the church of North America? Please consider sending a quick note to us via email, our site, or by leaving a comm...

Many of us drive to our churches on Sunday mornings passing the people along the way without paying much attention to the needs of the people around us. Here in Timnath we drive a round about on a street skipping exit 1 and 2 to get to the church building, but DMM has given Jeff a new way to see the people around him as he travels to the church building.  Please consider sending a quick note to us...

We take a quick look at John 13 where Jesus tells his disciples that people will know they are his disciples by how we love one another. The phrase, they will know us by our love, is taken from this bible verse and is a good point of discussion for today's download.  Please consider sending a quick note to us via email, our site, or by leaving a comment here. We would love to hear if this ministry...

One year ago we launched the DMM Downloads Podcast! Thanks to Jeff for being willing to record our conversations as he has been sharing downloads with me for years. I have grown to understand the paradigm shift needed to embrace Disciple Making Movements as a North American pastor, and I can tell you I am thankful for his patience with me and Jeff's willingness to share what he has learned. We str...

DMM is a gift for North America, for Northern Colorado, for the Church but is is costly. God give us your heart for the lost we pray. The gift of vision, the gift of God’s heart, the gift of not a new strategy but a life more aligned and more closely tied to our Heavenly Father. DMM is a gift. Please consider sending a quick note to us via email, our site, or by leaving a comment here. We would lo...

Episode 51 is here and today we're discussing how Vision and Mission are embedded in Movement. All ministry leaders wrestle with vision statements and we're no different. This episode unpacks how DMM provides a clear vision and mission for any leader and follower of Jesus.   Please consider sending a quick note to us via email, our site, or by leaving a comment here. We would love to hear if this...

In this episode we share a personal story of how we're learning to coach for dependence on the Spirit instead of making disciples dependent on our coaching. In DMM NOCO we offer awareness, training, opportunities for modeling and practicing DMM, resources, and on going coaching. The coaching we're talking about is a different kind of coaching. Rudy shares about "video game coaching" young athletes...

Today we talk about the concept of pushing the gospel away from us to increase dependence on the Holy Spirit. We share a personal salvation story that recently happened and how this new life in Christ is causing us to relearn new ways to disciple.  Please consider sending a quick note to us via email, our site, or by leaving a comment here. We would love to hear if this ministry is helping you in...

In this episode we share a lesson we are learning from a recent DMM Habits Training class looking at the habit of Discovery. The class was looking at John 3:16-21 together and verses 17 says...Jesus didn't come into the world to condemn the world...the discovery was...I am not condemned! What a great discovery and reminder from the Scriptures! The lesson of "I am not condemned" is simple in that w...

As we seek to make multiplying disciple makers in Northern Colorado we continue to honestly follow the Lord Jesus through the ups and downs of life. In this episode we discuss the need to persevere in faith. Many of us believe God wants to seek and save the lost, but what does that belief do? As Jeff says in this episode...It’s not what you believe. It’s what you live out. It’s what we apply. It’s...
