There are times to burn the candle at both ends, but making that a norm is not only unsustainable, it is also detrimental to long-term corporate and personal health, productivity, and longevity.

Bill's family shares a rich Scottish heritage, which made this journey across the pond one that meant much more than a vacation. In 2020 and 2021, the phrase "the new normal" was perhaps the most overused phrase of all time. In 2025, the rate of organizational and cultural change finds "normal" as a distant memory. The new normal is, in fact, that "normal" does not exist. Hold on tight.

It's not semantics. As parents it's easy to overprotect, over indulge, and all around overdo that which is due. Make sure you help your kids thrive by living WITH them more and FOR them less.
