Tripp and Andrew Laino have been watching movies together since 1992, and making fun of them together since 1999, when a rainy afternoon of babysitting turned into 8 straight hours of cheesy science fiction, popcorn and jokes. Since 2014, they’ve hosted this podcast - every other week they dissect a movie (or sometimes a TV show), finding plot holes, bad lighting and acting choices and the bizarre cinema quirks of 30-odd years ago (Smok...

#134 She's Out of Control 09.09.2019

We're getting a little sexy for our sixth season's beginning (you know, like sextet?...We weren't sure either) with She's Out of Control! Tony "Hold Me Closer Tiny" Danza has a daughter that's interested in b-b-b-b-b-boooooys and he can't handle it at all! Just how sexist does this thing get? Why is Wallace Shawn this low-key as the baddie? Is this the most extravagant "She's All That" turn in mov...

It's the end of Season 5, so we're celebrating with a part 5 film: Howling 5: The Rebirth (not to be confused with Part 6: The Reborn!). Why is there almost NO werewolf action in this? WHO IS STAVROS? How many different things are being ripped off simultaneously here? Plus, Andrew besmirches Thriller and Tripp gets mad. Support us on Patreon!   “Ouroboros” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed...

Support us on Patreon!   “NewsSting, Ouroboros” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creativ...

#130 The Garbage Pail Kids Movie 29.07.2019

Thanks to Jason in Phoenix, we had to watch The Garbage Pail Kids Movie! Is this the worst movie in the show's history? (Yes). Why can't any of their faces move? Why are they so truly horrifying? What kids wanted to see this? Why is magic real in this movie? Why is Mackenzie Astin constantly trying to get himself beat up? See this movie if you want to see what it looks like if a Muppet movie is ma...

#129 Real Genius 15.07.2019

Listener Request Month Pick #2 comes from Patreon supporter Tom!  Is this peak Val Kilmer? Could he be any more charming? How does no one know they're making a weapon?! Why is this 15-year-old in a relationship with a 19-year-old? Where does this rank amongst movie uses of Jiffy Pop? All this and more! #128 Midnight Madness 01.07.2019

It's the very first Listener Request Month, and the first selection is Patreon supporter Michele's choice: Midnight Madness! The game master has created a zany scavenger hunt all over Los Angeles. It's also the very first movie appearance by one of our favorites: Mi...

#127 Can't Stop the Music 17.06.2019

It's PRIDE month, and we're celebrating with a very gay movie: Can't Stop The Music! It's a kinda-sorta biopic about The Village People starring 80s heartthrob Steve "The Guttes" Guttenberg, and Caitlyn Jenner...based purely on decathlon prowess? Why were Americans so into the decathlon? Who decided to make a movie with just two actors in SIX of the eight main roles? Plus, Tripp admits a dark secr...

#126 Godzilla 03.06.2019

Oh no, Godzilla! We're celebrating the big screen return of everyone's favorite irradiated lizard king with Godzilla 1985! This weird American re-cut of the Japanese release has the bare minimum of plot, a whole lot of giant rubber monster madness and some very weird voice acting choices. PLUS! Godzilla vapes! Support us on Patreon!   “NewsSting, Ouroboros” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed...

#125 Wired 20.05.2019

In celebration of Elton John's biopic (bye-op-ick?), we waded into the most tasteless one, perhaps of all time: Wired. WHO IS THIS MOVIE FOR? Why do they hate Belushi SO MUCH? How did Chiklis end up having a career? Why is it just SO TASTELESS? Plus, Tripp hates all biopics, we talk wigs and so much more! Support us on Patreon!   “NewsSting, Ouroboros” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed unde...

It's almost Mother's Day and we were fresh out of gift ideas, so we gave our mom the gift of an episode she'd been asking for forever: Working Girl! This sassy sister film to Die Hard features a snackable Harrison Ford, a big heel turn from our queen Sigourney Weaver, and Melanie Griffith's performance on the Kate Hudson Corollary!  Support us on Patreon!   “NewsSting, Ouroboros” Kevin MacLeod (in...

#123 Magnum P.I./Murder, She Wrote Crossover! 22.04.2019

In celebration of the release of the crossover event of THIS century, we headed back to the last century to discuss the crossover event of the last century: When Jessica Fletcher took a Hawaiian vacation with Magnum, P.I.! (Magnum, P.I. Season 7, Episode 9 "Novel Connection" and Murder, She Wrote Season 3, Episode 8 "Magnum on Ice") Why does it take so long for Jessica Fletcher to show up? Why is...

#122 Pet Sematary 08.04.2019

Sometimes, dead is better. It's the original Pet Sematary, since the remake dropped this week!  Andrew has a surprisingly decent Fred Gwynne, while Tripp's is thoroughly mediocre, a phenomenal child actor (seriously!), a delightful doll shot, a home in dire need of a fence, and some truly scary stuff with Zelda! Support us on Patreon!   “NewsSting, Ouroboros” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licens...

#121 Critters 25.03.2019

It's the internet's newest podcast: Clouded by the Zane, a Billy Zane podcast! Critters fever is striking the nation, with a Shudder show and a Syfy movie coming, so we went back where it all started! Is this Billy Zane a bad boy or a prep? Just how big is a critter, and is a critter also a ghoulie? Do critters go to college? Plus, an ode to M. Emmet Walsh's front hair bit. Support us on Patreon!...

#120 ...All the Marbles 11.03.2019

This podcast carries less than $20, please don't rob it! Tying into the surprisingly successful "Fighting with My Family", it's an 80s movie about wrestling ladies: ...All the Marbles. Tripp uses the slang of the youth, Is Peter Falk a snack? Adventures in minor crimes, Burt Young appears on the show again and is Oscar-tier gross, some competent wrestling and OH MY THE COSTUMES! It's a hidden gem...

#118 The Incredible Hulk Returns 25.02.2019

FOURBRUARY continues with the NBC TV Movie The Incredible Hulk Returns! Why is there so much Hulk in this backdoor pilot for Thor? Did they buy this hammer at Home Depot? How much trauma did Bill Bixby endure wearing these contacts?  Plus, Tripp admits to watching way, way, way too much Supernatural, and a possibly-too-long tangent about the DC Film Universe! All this and more! Support us on Patre...

#117 Superman IV: The Quest for Peace 11.02.2019

It's the fifth edition of FOURBRUARY, and the last gasp of Cannon-uary! We watched Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, and it was...not good. Why are there SO MANY unconnected scenes? What's with Gene Hackman doing the voice of Nuclear Man? Why is Muriel Hemingway wearing David Byrne's suit? How did anyone get suckered into making this?! Why are the effects so cheap? All this and more - plus a big P...

(It was Greg...
