Dion's Daily Dose

Signs are ready! I have a limited number so message me as soon as possible to make sure you secure one. Tonight was the debate for District 1. Ouch. We'll talk about it. If you haven't seen it, you really should. 🤦‍♂️ My opponent and I both answered questions asked to us by the Chesterton Tribune and the difference couldn't be greater. So, my new camera came in. It isn't as high quality as the one on my phone but it is HD. I'd like your opinion on which one I should use for my live streams. The second Presidential Debate is not going to happen. We have a party scheduled. Let's talk about options... Also, I'm locked out of my Twitter account. Twitter sucks. A little different format today. I welcome everyone to join my show and weigh in on your candidate. Governor Holcomb is running for re-election. Let's talk about his accomplishments and the huge challenges he's faced with the pandemic. He has had to make some difficult decisions. Some have been extremely unpopular. Does that mean he shouldn't get re-elected? Let's talk about it. Donald Trump has b...

Tonight I'm going to take you through my journey as an over-the-road truck driver and trainer and why I became a Correctional Officer. I'm also going to tell you about why I am so in favor of Medical Cannabis. I know what it's like to writhe in pain and have no hope. I know what it's like to be hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt because of medical bills. My story resonates with a lot of peop...

We have a special guest. Rachel Kessler will be joining us. Rachel is the Indiana State Director for USTL, the organization that is full speed ahead for term limits. The vast majority of Hoosiers (and Americans for that matter) are in favor of term limits. I signed a pledge to support term limits but this isn't about me. This is about the progress for term limits. How it's coming, what's going on...

This election is more important than any in my lifetime. Record numbers of people have registered to vote. Do they know who they are voting for? There's a lot of focus on the Presidential race this year (perhaps rightly so), but do you know about the people down ballot? Do you think most people do? Every position is important. From school board to State Representative to President. Every single on...

Face to Face: Dion and Shawn break down the arguments in front of the SCOTUS in the case of Johnson vs. Grants Pass, the lawsuit involving the criminalization of homeless by assigning fines. Although the city of Grant's Pass calls it a ban on "camping", many have spoken out against it, and are eagerly watching the outcome of this case. This case could have far-reaching consequences for cities look...

#DionsDailyDose will focus on Thursday's Republican debate. We were given one minute to respond to questions and I would like to expand on some answers. We'll also talk about how I think it went and I'll get into something that I didn't get the chance to during the debate: Health Care! Tune in to learn about how we can have a system that keeps the free market perks without continuing to make us go...

Dion's Daily Dose: The Home Health Care industry is often overlooked and seldom talked about. There are 76 home health care agencies in Lake County alone, 17 in Porter County, and 36 in LaPorte County. That's just the direct service providers. There are far more jobs that expand outward from those. I'll get into the numbers a little bit but we won't be focusing on a bunch of data. We'll be talking...

#DionsDailyDose We will talk about endorsements (both good and bad), the SignGate Drama continues, and Chess vs. Checkers in the voting booth. I've heard from a lot more people about the debate, their impressions, and how their opinions have or have not changed for candidates. We'll cover that and more. We'll also be talking about the big push for the last 7 days. Follow Dion’s Daily Dose on Socia...

5 Days left until the Primary election! What these next few days will look like. Lake County Alert! If you live in Lake County, you need to be aware of something that's happening in your government. I'll explain in detail but it involves the Solar Farm that was reported about in the NWI Times. Every resident should be aware of what's happening. I was contacted about it and want to tell you what I'...

We have a protest beginning right up the street from me and friends' homes. I pray it stays peaceful. I'll talk about that as well as a few other things. Pre-Primary Special Event: The #DionForCongress team will be live to answer any questions you might have before casting your vote tomorrow in our Primary. We'll tell you about our Thank You event, our plans win or lose, and what we're looking forward to in the General Election. This will also be your chance to ask me any lingering questions you may have after watching the Republican Debate, the En...

The Primary Election is over. The issues at play in it will take a long time to put to rest, but what's happening the meantime? The show must go on. Dion's Daily Dose has grown out of a movement that YOU helped to create. I'm not about to give up on it now. While U.S. Congress isn't meant to be for me (at least not in 2020), I'm okay with that. What's next? What's the plan and how will it be imple...

Dion's Daily Dose: Today we'll look at the use of social media and outrage to shape policy and shut down people that certain groups disagree with. Countless examples exist but we'll touch on a few recent ones and we'll hear from you as well. Do you have any extreme examples that you can think of? You can email me your suggestions and articles at talk@dionbergeron.com or send me updates via Messeng...

Dion's Daily Dose is migrating to a new page. This is step 1. Please bear with us during the construction. So, the Primary is over. I live in District 1. I'll break down what November is going to look like as a voter rather than a candidate. Some really fun stuff coming up on #DDD. Guests that have agreed and my plans to talk to others. Give me your opinion on some of these! One thing that makes #...

The situation in Seattle is changing by the minute. We'll look at that. We'll also talk about recent developments in the Crossfire Hurricane investigations. I'll also talk a little about the Attorney General race here in Indiana. What's your take on it? I'll give you mine (and others I've spoken to) and tell you what possible guests are coming up. Summer is here! Indiana Beach will be opening June...

CHAZ (eye roll) and all the silliness, along with other locations now 'inspired' by it. What are you doing this weekend? We're working on getting the garden going. What's coming up on the agenda? The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) has decided they don't actually want to be autonomous (like we didn't know that) and has changed the name of their multi-block area to CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupied/Organized Protest). Facebook is in hot water with the unions. It's delicious. They say it was an accident. Riiight. The Supreme Court has dipped and weaved away from 2A cases for a while now. Justi...

A.G. William Barr joins the Executive Branch in calling out Big Tech. I've learned a lot from my run for 1st District. I'll talk about some of the biggest lessons and what I'd do differently if given the chance. We'll touch on some other current events as well. Big News on the horizon. I'll give you a hint but the big reveal is Saturday. Biden just can't stop sticking his foot in his mouth. Whee. HR 7297 is interesting. We'll look at it and what it may mean. There's a lot to unpack here. The text isn't available yet so all we have is the title. The possibilities are disturbing to say the least. What are the issues? What are we going to do about them? Let's talk about it. I'm very excited about this opportunity and I can't wait to share it with you. I'll be joined by a special guest - Shannon McNeish (Portage Republican voter). He has personal experience with some of the issues I'll be talking about and he and I will have a discussion about those issues and more. Follow Dion’s Daily Dose...
