DINNER PARTNERS with Christopher & Eric

East Coast Carnage continues on Christopher & Eric's True Crime Movie Time Summer Film Festival with the second in a true crime pairing about the Boston Marathon bombings.  The Peter Berg directed  film PATRIOT'S DAY offers some of the closest parallels between fact and fiction your hosts have encountered yet. But the film's glimpse behind the masks of the diabolical men responsible for this hor...

East Coast Carnage,  the next chapter in Christopher & Eric's True Crime Movie Time Summer Film Festival, kicks off with the Boston Marathon bombing, a horrific act of terrorism that's still fresh in many of our minds. Even though they thought they knew the story, Christopher and Eric were unprepared for the emotional impact of MARATHON: THE PATRIOT'S DAY BOMBING, streaming on the recently renamed...

In the final episode of California Screaming month, we bring you an all new installment of Christopher & Eric's True Crime Movie Time. This time they're opening the vaults and blowing the dust off some ¾'' video cassettes — otherwise known as scrolling through pages on Paramount + — to serve up this creaky, sanitized and maybe-not-quite accurate TV movie, THE CASE OF THE HILLSIDE STRANGLERS. After...

A new "true crime pairing" in California Screaming month begins with this latest installment of Christopher & Eric's True Crime TV Club, serving up a two-part documentary special about the case that ushered in a new era of human depravity and horror in the City of Angels. In episodes 7 and 8 of season 4 of VERY SCARY PEOPLE: "The Hillside Stranglers Part 1 and 2", host Donnie Wahlberg channels his...

California Screaming Month continues with the second in a true crime pairing devoted to a killer who has become more phantom than human, more conspiracy than evidence. When Christopher and Eric first watched David Fincher's ZODIAC years ago, they were both equally awed by its technical expertise and a laser-like focus on its subject matter. But how does it hold up against the blizzard of facts abo...

Christopher and Eric's cross country journey of murder and mayhem begins with California Screaming month, the first chapter in the True Crime Movie Time Summer Film Festival, a series of episodes devoted to "true crime pairings" featuring some of America's most notorious human predators. How have your hosts gone this long without covering the Zodiac killer (or killers, plural)? Perhaps it's the st...

In the final burst of April Showers Bring Van Gogh Flowers Month, Christopher and Eric embark on a dizzying international journey that begins with a swift and skillful break in at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, which your hosts visited only weeks before. (They're innocent. We promise!) In STEALING VAN GOGH: THE GREATEST ART HEIST OF THE 21st CENTURY on the Real Stories You Tube channel, art his...

April Showers Bring Van Gogh Flowers Month unleashes another storm as your hosts bring you an unusual selection for this "true crime pairing", AT ETERNITY'S GATE, an art house biopic of one of the world's greatest artists, whose works have been subjected to numerous allegations of fraud and instances of theft. Julian Schnabel might be a celebrated visual artist, but as a filmmaker, is he up to the...

April showers bring Van Gogh flowers as Christopher and Eric celebrate their return from Europe with a twisty, international true crime tale involving the incredible artist they paid tribute to on their recent trip abroad. You didn't think you could get rid of them that easily, did you? Christopher and Eric return from their European adventure full of their usual dazzling recollections and chesty complaints.  After celebrating their birthdays overseas, your hosts serve up answers galore to all of the questions you posted about their trip on The Dinner Party Show's Facebook page. Which work of art most moved them? Wh...

Two years ago, Christopher and Eric used this podcast to bring much needed attention to the brutal homicide of a young gay man named William Arnold Newton, whose severed head and feet were found in a Hollywood dumpster in 1990. But when they went looking for local newspaper articles about Billy's gruesome and disturbing murder, the pickings were slim. Worse, there wasn't a word about the case to b...

Find out how this wrap up to Toxic Love Month almost became a second train wreck episode. (We're looking at you, Christopher.) Jasmine Fiore was determined to use her Playboy Playmate career as a stepping stone to a better life than the one in which her father abandoned their family and her mother struggled to make ends meet. So how did she end up horribly beaten, and mutilated and disposed of in...

Toxic Love Month gets a hint of sugar courtesy of you, our beloved Party People. On The Dinner Party Show's Facebook page, we asked you to share the most romantic thing anyone's ever done for you, and your answers inspired a lively discussion of the specialness of all relationships, including friendships. But before the confection turned too sweet, we brought in our wayward critic-at-large Jordan...

Toxic Love Month continues with the second in Christopher and Eric’s "true crime pairing" charting the long fall of one of the music industry's most influential producers. On this episode, they serve you a True Crime Movie time featuring David Mamet's version of the Phil Spector murder trial. PHIL SPECTOR was met with Emmy nominations when it debuted on HBO. But did its celebrated writer/director...

No one chronicled a Hollywood murder mystery better than storied writer Dominick Dunne, and no one serves up Hollywood scandal better than your hosts Christopher and Eric. What really happened on that night tw...

Movin' On Month continues and in typical, morbid Christopher and Eric fashion your hosts are celebrating with a special edition of True Crime TV Club that focuses on one of the most famous haunted house stories in American history. Who was the biggest victim of the Amityville Horror story? The beleaguered couple who claimed they were run out of their new home by demonic spirits? Or the young child...

Have you heard the news? Eric Shaw Quinn is moving into a home of his own and in true TDPS style your hosts are celebrating by focusing on the negative. On The Dinner Party Show's Facebook page, we asked our beloved Party People to share with us the worst living situations they ever endured — and how they escaped. The answers ranged from the hilarious, to the revolting to the deeply emotional. Als...

Movin' On Month continues! Eric Shaw Quinn's finally getting his own place. To celebrate, we're bringing you an all new True Crime TV Club that proves it's always better to live alone. Dorothea Puente seemed like a sweet, charitable old lady who took in boarders out of the kindness of her own heart.  Then came the disappearances. And the strange smells. And the stupefying agents. Christopher and E...

"God gave us memory so we might have roses in December." This J.M Barrie quote is one of Eric Shaw Quinn's favorites, and it's why your hosts have chosen to mark their first holiday season without our beloved Anne Rice with a special tribute series to her memory. Anne's book tour for PRINCE LESTAT took her all over North America, but it was in beautiful downtown Burbank where she stepped on stage...
