Keep an open mind with honest questions. Questions where the truth is yet to be found not questions that provide framework for a predisposition.

As a people, we have a hard time listening because throwing criticisms are easier.

Virgin birth is not an impossibility just highly improbable. If you think about it, miracles by definition is an improbable event. So celebrate Christmas as it was meant, “a miracle from God” and rejoice.

A difficult scripture with a double edge. Violent men (the Pharisees and King Herod) wanted Jesus’s Kingdom. Unfortunately violent men also spread Christianity via the Roman and Medieval Nobility. Sigh, but Jesus was one of wisdom and only once used violence in action against merchants who made money for the Temple Leaders..

Everything is relative. Watch the power struggle of leaders. Sleep well knowing Jesus is waiting for his faithful servant.

We tend to think we know better. As we experience success, it gets worse. So it was with Adam and Eve. The Tribes that followed Moses out of Egypt. The Church leaders of Jesus’s days. We need to chill. Open to the power of not knowing. Also called, “faith.”

One of my favorite scriptures. Would you climb a roof and tear up tiles for a chance for a friend, not you, to meet Jesus?

God’s time is geological. Slow to us, but normal to him. The issue of long pauses includes increased comfort in the power of self.

Why is silence socially feared? We talk to the kids about this and having a firm foundation of confidence.

Do sleep well at night? Peace might be closer than you think.

Pride breeds contempt. That is the bad prideful description. Yet we also need to be proud of how God made and blessed us. That is our strength against people who put us down.

Judging and self righteous attitudes are a joy kill. Don’t join the evil but remember who Jesus actually came down here to visit.

Doubt everywhere. Pray for faith, set actions with that faith (I went looking for my wife’s credit card the last place the bank showed she used it) and celebrate with God when you are blessed with victory.

Kids absorb biblical principles of sin and death. Plus the importance of servitude and compassion.

Explaining to my kids to be courageous.

My daughter is being told her voice is horrible, her haircut is bad, her drawings are terrible. She wants to be home schooled but dealing with people that don’t like you is part of growing up.

Anger goes against the first two important laws of God.

My kids learn that many Asians are just considered Chinese. News flash, Asia is made up of many countries and even more cultures.

How does the love of parents and kids become love of two grown people? What happens? The Bible has a few great examples and we read one of them

Kids needing help communicating, feeling and understanding “normal.” Knowing how people communicate ideas and achieving clarity is a scholarly endeavor.

How important is wisdom? How important is your eye sight? Proverbs agrees with Jesus. Wisdom is more important.
