Dinner and a Bible, aka the funny things my kids say in front of Jesus.

Been a tough week. I report to three people in two different orgs but this is a good reminder to do your best. That’s all you can control.

Why was Jesus comparing himself to Jonah. You know how I feel the Bible is a huge parable but when Jesus speaks about Jonah, I’m going to believe Jonah wound up in a fish. There must be more to the story but I’ll ask questions when I meet Jonah. Faithful I make it and that he is there with a whopper of a fishing tale ready to go.

It’s hard to see the detriment money and fame can have. The devil doesn’t want the truth that most cannot handle this kind of financial power.

Fermentation of wine can only happen with new wine skins. An interesting example.

Act of reconciliation is an important part of Christianity. Once I became a dad, I see how hard it is to help my kids if they don’t tell me the whole story; especially when they are holding back fault.

The devil believes in Jesus but what we’re asked to do is believe with trust. That is a much harder proposition.

Have you ever asked what people thought of you? Sometimes, admitting something is the best medicine. Vow of love in a marriage and hugging your kid and telling them they are the best. In my case these items are from the Homy Spirit.

As a kid, a football game or a movie with friends made everything better. As a twenty something professional, if I wasn’t depressed I was seething with bitterness. Playing the blame game. Not what Jesus wants from any of us.

Interesting story about humility

Every time I see this scripture I cringe. I’m from a poor background and this is a very challenging scripture. God bless us all.

Sometime we live like that. Where we doubt Christ. Miracles don’t happen. If we stop believing in coincidences, then a person might just start to see the miracles that God gives us every day.

Commitment. Even non-Jews were given salvation during Jonah’s time. As long as the commitment was there, so was God.
