Desert Stream Anglican Church
Desert Stream Anglican Church
We sensed that the Lord is calling us to be “a stream in the desert”. We believe that the Lord wanted a Church to be planted and called to go to where the people are, where there is lack of life, to bring the life of Christ, where there is pain and brokenness, healing, where there is lostness and loneliness, the love of God expressed in the gospel of Christ, where there are bondages, deliverance.

Day 2 | GREATER THINGS TO COME 01.03.2022 2:43
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14) When you made that decision to give your life to Jesus in exchange of His, you have embarked...
Day 3 | THE REDEMPTION COUPON 01.03.2022 2:53
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore "it was accounted to him for righteousness." (Romans 4:20-22) Some of us enjoy collecting redemption points from merchants because they can be exchanged for free gifts. Redemption coupons are only...
Day 4 | CONTENDING FOR YOUR GODLY INHERITANCE 01.03.2022 3:21
“Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the night watches! Pour out your heart like water before the presence of the Lord! Lift your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.” (Lamentation 2:19) One of the Covenantal blessings we have stepped into as Christian is generational blessings. God made that Covenantal promise to Abraham, “ Th...
Day 5 | WHY DO WE NEED TO CONTEND? 01.03.2022 3:45
“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.” (Deuteronomy 28:1) “But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon yo...
Day 6 | FASTING: SEEKING GOD'S WAY 01.03.2022 3:01
Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions. (Ezra 8:21) During Lent season, we are encouraged to seek God, reflect upon our lives, our relationship with God. It is a season when we pause and seek renewal of our spirit, our strength and refocus our lives on the...
Day 7 | FORSAKING OUR WAYS 01.03.2022 3:10
“Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways, as if they were a nation that did righteousness and did not forsake the judgment of their God; they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God. Why have we fasted, and you see it not? Wh...
Day 8 | FASTING: DEFYING THE DESIRE OF THE FLESH 01.03.2022 3:28
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4) Fasting is often described as abstinence from food, from bodily pleasure. Isaiah 58 seems to go further and suggest that, fasting is both denying the desire of the flesh, as well as defying the desire of the flesh. Defying the desire of the flesh means, we delib...
Day 9 | FASTING STRENGTHENS FAITH 01.03.2022 2:55
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:20-21) The disciples of Jesus (minus Peter, James and John), were presented with a boy in...
Day 10 | FASTING: ACTIVATING THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 01.03.2022 3:11
Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry…Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. And He taught in their synagogues,...
Day 11 | HUMAN EXPECTATION 01.03.2022 2:58
And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’ Are not the Abanah and the Phar...
Day 12 | TRUST ISSUE 01.03.2022 3:10
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. (Proverbs 3:5-8) The pandemic has been very unnerving for all of us. Perhaps, more for some than others. For one...
Day 13 | OUR TRUSTWORTHY AND GOOD GOD 01.03.2022 2:29
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. (Mark 10:18) God is good. That is the truth of who God is. If God is good, He is good all the time. He is good throughout, and there is no evil in Him. He is not the originator of evil. The devil is, taking advantage of man’s sins, to bring evil into the world. But God is a master opportunist. He can turn what the de...
Day 14 | DRINK FROM THE FOUNTAIN 01.03.2022 3:05
"For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water. (Jeremiah 2:13) When our family went on a guided hike to Murug Turug, one of the very well conserved waterfalls in the West Coast of Sabah, like any good hikers, we were prepared with the right gear and water bottles. Water in water bot...
Day 15 | A VOICE AMIDST TURMOIL 01.03.2022 2:50
The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. (Psalm 29:3-4) In the midst of many turmoils, uncertainties and disorder, the situation is crying out for guidance and leading. Unless the Lord intervene through His servants, agents or spokesman appointed by Him for the sit...
Day 16 | HARVEST JOY 01.03.2022 3:13
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalm 1...
Day 17 | THOSE WHOM GOD CONFIDES 01.03.2022 2:52
The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them . (Psalm 25:14)(NIV) Most of us, if not, all of us have someone we can talk to and confide in something personal. When we are the confidant, we feel privileged to have the trust of our friends. Especially when that friend is someone important and respected by us. We have a sense of being valued, to be considered trustwort...
Day 18 | INTIMACY DESERVES OUR TIME 01.03.2022 2:50
So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle. (Exodus 33:11) The Bible describes Moses as “the friend of God”. He talked to God face to face. Moses had an intimate relationship with God. Joshua the son of Nun, was the assistant of Moses. He was to succe...
Day 19 | DESTINY SHIFTER 01.03.2022 3:28
Now before they lay down, she came up to them on the roof, and said to the men: “I know that the Lord has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land are fainthearted because of you…And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in...
Day 20 | CONTENDING FOR YOUR DESTINY 01.03.2022 2:53
Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, "Because I bore him in pain." And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:9-10) The pray...
Day 21 | WHEN THERE IS AN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION IN YOUR LIFE 01.03.2022 3:02
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’” (Zechariah 4:6-7) The Book of Joel described the state of God’s people, Israel, as one that was in total despai...
Day 22 | SOME ENEMIES NEED TO BE PURSUED 01.03.2022 3:09
Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, t...
Day 23 | AN ENTRANCE 01.03.2022 2:47
"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens" (Revelation 3:7) “and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:19) A core principle of governance is that everything...
Day 24 | DECEPTION STRUCTURES 01.03.2022 3:25
But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” (Acts 5:3-4) Once I confronted a compulsive liar. Not to condemn him, nor to...
Day 25 | LIFE IN THE BLOOD 01.03.2022 2:53
Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. (John 6:53-56) When someon...
