The final principle of abundance that Derek lays out is that we are not to let circumstances interfere with what we are believing God for. It is our responsibility to keep your eyes on the promise and meet the conditions God has laid out. We can know God’s abundance.

Today Derek looks at two more principles; the first being that all God’s promises are now available to us through Christ. Jesus is the channel and it is only through Him that we receive anything from God. The fourth principle is that the promises of God are expressions of His will, so when we pray according to a promise, we have faith to believe that He will answer that prayer.

Our faith for abundance must be based on principles related to God’s promises. Derek’s first principle is that God’s provision is made available through His promises, so we must know what these promises are. The second principle is that these promises given by God are our inheritance. They belong to us and we must take hold of them.

What does abundance really mean? Today Derek delves into the explanation of abundance, revealing that it means we have all our own needs met and something left over to give others. Jesus could feed a multitude with a few loaves and fish. He also paid taxes by supplying the coins from the mouth of a fish. That was abundance.

In this series on God’s abundance it is vital to see how much we need Him. Only through revelation from God can we see the depth of our need and, as we do, restoration will begin to come bringing His abundance. God’s plan is that it will bring praise, honor, and glory to Him.

Today Derek finishes this study on overcoming evil by providing you with several testimonies to add to your arsenal. The blood of Jesus sprinkled in heaven cries out for mercy for YOU. Appropriate it; apply it to your life; and never forget the blood cries out continually for you!

Jesus was crucified outside the city gates of Jerusalem. Why? So that He might sanctify the people through His blood, as the Scripture says. In today’s broadcast, Derek looks at what it means for us to be sanctified, made holy, set apart to God.

Today Derek describes that justification is “to be made righteous.” At the cross, Jesus made an exchange on our behalf. The sinless, spotless, righteous One became our sin and took our judgment. Then He gave us His own righteous, sinless perfection. It’s now just-as-if-we’d never sinned and it comes by faith in Him.

To be fully cleansed from all sin necessitates that we are walking in the light of God and having fellowship with other believers. This is not something that is done once, but it is an ongoing, day by day process that we continue to pursue.

In this second week of looking at how to overcome evil, Derek takes various passages that speak about what the blood of Jesus does for us, and turns them into personal testimonies for us. Through the blood of Jesus, we have been redeemed, our sins have been forgiven. We need to declare this boldly.

Using the pattern of the Old Testament Passover, Derek shows how this is a picture of Jesus, the Lamb who was sacrificed, and he brings out the importance of Jesus’ shed blood. The personal application of this truth comes when we testify about what the Word of God says the blood of Jesus does for us.

Derek focuses on weapons of warfare, not only on the basis of Scripture, but proven from his own experience. From Revelation 12:10–11 he begins a look at the blood of the Lamb, the Word of God, and the testimony of believers. These weapons are used for final victory and are available for us today.

Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection—His total defeat of Satan—we have been delivered out of the power of darkness. Jesus has given us authority over all of Satan’s forces, and we have been sent forth to administer His victory. Since we are in the kingdom of God, we have the authority of God vested in us.

How does Satan work against us? Today we look at some of the main ways, by keeping in mind his various names: adversary, the great dragon, serpent, murderer, and liar, among many others. Each one shows a facet of the ways Satan works against us.

Today begins a study about our conflict with evil. Derek reveals the truth of our situation—that we are dealing with someone, not something. That someone is Satan, who has a rival kingdom in the heavens. Our enemies are persons without bodies; we can’t see them, but we need to know how to deal with them.

The book of Romans is the source of the today’s installment of Derek’s teaching on the theme of identification. There are three successive phases of this Romans Recipe, each comprising steps that we must follow to accomplish the desire result: identification with Christ.

Derek teaches us today that salvation requires a cooperation between the heart and the mouth. Believing in the heart enables us to achieve righteousness. This is only achieved as we confess with our mouth what we believe in our heart. Make the words of your mouth agree with God’s Word.

Today we find out that it is not enough to know the truth—we must also believe the truth. Knowing is in the mind, but belief is in the heart. Accept the fact that unbelief is a sin—and it is an evil that keeps us from what God has ordained for us.

In today’s talk, Derek uncovers the first of two barriers that come in the way of keeping us from being fully identified with Jesus Christ and what His death has purchased for us. Ignorance is simply a lack of knowledge. We are unaware of promises of our inheritance.

Over the past three weeks, Derek has been showing us how the concept of identification is the key that opens up for us a full understanding of the purpose of the death of Jesus and so enables us to enter into all that He obtained for us through His death.

The wisdom of this world, as Derek well knows, will never take the place of the hidden wisdom of God, which will only come when one becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus. Then the door will open up for us to search out this hidden wisdom.

Derek shows us today that we are also identified with the ascension life and ministry of Jesus in heaven. When Jesus ascended to heaven He entered into two unique ministries: where He rules as King and intercedes as Priest. In this way also, we are invited to identify ourselves with Jesus.

As Derek proceed with his teaching on our identification with Christ, he points out that the Father sent Christ. The Father gave Jesus the words to speak and God performed His works through Jesus. To see Jesus was to see the Father. In the same way, Jesus has sent us out.

Yesterday’s message presented the heart of the gospel, found in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. What is our Christian experience? Paul tells us that God has made us alive, God has raised us up and God has seated us with Christ. Through our identification with Jesus, we are born again to a living hope.

The absolute heart of the gospel is this: First, Christ died; second, He was buried; and third, He was raised on the third day. There is one outward act required by God that enables us to be identified with Jesus in these three phases: the act of baptism in water. Have you been baptized?
