With the release of episode four, Mushi-shi is now a quarter of the way through its second season and while the tone of the stories has changed, the method and pacing remains the same as the first season. The first four episodes cover darker stories, all relating to the death of a person close to the featured characters.

This year, Anime Matsuri was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston, Texas from March 14-16, 2014. Now, Anime Matsuri has become a big name in Texas anime conventions since its beginning in 2007. Well, I used to be a stage actress…and since I stopped that cosplaying was the next closest thing to my interests. I often cosplay characters I have the personality of or just characters I fall in love with from any media. I love seeing the sparkle in peoples’ eyes when they see some of their favorite characters come to life.

Well, I cringed, and I complained, but not so much because this was a bad anime in the sense that Sparrow's Hotel is a bad anime—it was more because of the number of creepy and extremely controversial elements found within the series. Basically, it’s the Twilight of anime.
