Kelly is a physician's assistant with a heart for those with an abortion wounded heart. Her experience with patients gives her a unique view of how abortion impacts women and men and also how it may impact healthcare practitioners who have made referrals for abortions.

Mindy received healing with every encounter with God and the opportunities she took to serve and to receive. She found a deeper sense of healing at her Deeper Still retreat, especially as she saw how the men also grieved the loss of their children to abortion. She now has an online post-abortion ministry called An Even Place.

Mindy did not have any spiritual foundation and ended up in relationships that were not healthy. After one abortion, she told herself she would never have another one. Unfortunately, she got involved with another man who did not want the baby when she got pregnant again. This ended in another abortion, which led to more dysfunction and yet another abortion. She was full of self-loathing and lost. 

Dawn got some wonderful healing at her first retreat, but she had difficulty receiving all that God had for her. She was able to receive more of what He had for her at her second retreat. God lifted so much weight off her shoulders and she is ready to begin helping other women, as God leads.

Dawn was following in her Mom's footsteps, without even trying. She went from one unhealthy relationship to another and ended up having two abortions. She spent years trying to overcome the pain. She found Jesus and started to be more responsible. The healing process was gradual, but God kept working in her life.

Dawn's Mom was a pregnant teen and ended up in unhealthy and abusive relationships with men. Dawn followed in the same pattern, becoming pregnant as a teen and also ending up in abusive relationships. As a young single mom on her own, she did not feel like she could handle another child and she sought an abortion. The abortion only led to more problems.

Even after Stephanie gave her life to Christ, there was still a need for healing from the abortion she had at age 18. She felt a disconnect and that she wasn't living the abundant life described in the Bible. It took intentional healing from her abortion for her to see how much more God had for her.

At eighteen, Stephanie found out she was pregnant. Her mother encouraged her to carry the baby, but her Dad wanted her to have an abortion. They would not process that terrible decision until decades later.

Did you know that only 2% of abortions take place in the U.S.? That means that the world overseas is full of those who have abortion-wounded hearts. Lisa Mackie, Executive Director of Deeper Still Upper Cumberland, discusses how she has been involved in seeing Deeper Still expand nationwide and even begin to grow worldwide. 

Lisa was isolated and didn't trust others with the secret of her abortion out of fear of what others would think of her. Her abortion led to poor choices and unhealthy relationships. That all began to change when God got ahold of her heart.

"In California, we always kept our windows open, and you could hear how dysfunctional my home life was growing up," Lisa said. However, she put on a brave face and covered her shame about her home life, and pretended like everything was ok. Later, she would end up in a crisis pregnancy, and that too, she covered.
