DeepDives With Patrick Hemming

I'm finally back with a new #DeepDives, the first proper episode of 2026. I've used the monster band Led Zeppelin as inspiration. Some of these artists and bands might wear their influence a little more obviously than others, but it's all in there.  Almost all of these artists have appeared in previous episodes, so if Led Zeppelin isn't your bag, there is still much on display to enjoy. I promise....

Happy New Year, my friends! As promised, here is the second hour of my "Best Of 2025 DeepDives". The offerings were so plentiful in 2025 that I decided to produce the show in two separate sections to allow the music to be heard in a more manageable listening experience. Enjoy over two and a half hours of the best new Melodic Rock, AOR, Hi-Tech, Westcoast, PowerPop, Pop & Hard Rock 2025 had to...

Happy New Year, my friends! I hope this finds each and every one of you doing well after a busy holiday season. As promised, I'm back with the first hour (part 😁)    of my "Best Of 2025 DeepDives". The offerings were so plentiful in 2025 that I decided to produce the show in two separate sections to allow the music to be heard in a more manageable listening experience. All the genres are represen...

Here you go, my friends, the final Dive of 2025. We're back diving in the crystal-clear waters of 80s AOR & Melodic Rock, along with some Rock, Pop & Hi-Tech for good measure. I'll be back in early 2026 with a 'Best of 2025' episode for your enjoyment. Until then, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year!  Thanks for hanging out with me these last eight years! I'm just...

Here are some of my favorite Christmas songs from across the years! I'll be back before the year is out with a brand new episode for your ears to enjoy!

After a few hit-and-miss weeks traveling to and from the Czech Republic I'm back with a proper DeepDives for your ears to enjoy as we're back in the fertile diving waters off the 1980s and early 1990s. This show was put together during one long plane ride from Zurich to Tampa. Holy cow, do I ever recommend choosing your own seat for long hauls like this. Trust me...Your ass will thank you. 😁 I'll...

Two weeks ago I lost one of my greatest friends. On that same day I also lost one of my greatest musical heroes. This is an episode I never wanted to have to make. Certainly not under these circumstances. My friend James and I saw KISS back in '92 on the Revenge tour. Long after Ace had left the band and four years before he rejoined, only to leave once again in 2001. It was a terrific show but th...

After a month long break DeepDives is back with a show built around the theme of "Traveling". As I'm broadcasting from the beautiful city of Prague here in the Czech Republic, I thought that particular theme would be most appropriate. All the regular Dive genres are represented spanning the late 60's through today. So sit back and enjoy some traveling music, Dives style. I'll be back here next wee...

Once again, I bring to your ears a collection of Disco songs you'll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. It's been two years since my last Disco Dance Party, and I knew it was time to drop down that old glitter ball! As in round one, there are certainly some ringers, but even then, they are mostly special 12" mixes. covers and album tracks. I've also salt and peppered both sets with more contemp...

I'm back, my friends, with another round of DeepDives for your ears to enjoy. This week we're back in the 80s. 1983 through 1993, to be exact. AOR, Melodic Rock, Hi-Tech, Rock & Hard Rock are on today's menu. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it for you. I'll see you in a couple weeks' time, my friends. Until then, keep on keeping on! 🤘

I'm back, my friends, with a sonic buffet for your ears to devour. This episode of Dives is jam-packed with Melodic Rock goodness. There are some Rock and Pop. A taste of Heartland. A heaping helping of AOR and we bit of Westcoast. I hope you enjoy, and I'll see you back here for the next new episode in a couple of weeks. 🤘

After a couple of weeks' break, I'm back with a brand-new episode for your ears to enjoy. We're in the 80s, 1983 through 1992 to be exact. I've included just about every genre of Melodic Rock for this show. AOR, Hard Rock, Pop, Hi-Tech, and WestCoast are all represented. I had a ton of fun curating this one, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. I'll see you in two weeks for th...

I'm back with a brand new episode of DeepDives for your ears to enjoy. Before the show starts properly, I pay tribute to The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away today at 76. He's shown up on more than a few occasions here on Dives & he will be missed. Afterwards, it's on to the show I had planned for you...filled with AOR, Melodic Rock, Westcoast, Synthwave & Pop. I hope you...

After a week off, I'm back with a new episode of Dives spanning 2000 through 2022. I've jam-packed this episode with AOR, Melodic Rock, WestCoast, and Synthwave for your ears to enjoy. Sit back and let me take you on an excursion through some of my favorite songs released across the last 25 years.

After a couple of episodes in some different waters I've sailed us back to a much more familiar diving hole, 1980's Melodic Rock and AOR. 1983 through 1992 to be specific. This episode is filled with songs I've not played in years along with several you haven't heard at all on a Dive. Sit back, enjoy a cold one and enjoy some of the best music on God's good earth. I'll see you next week, my friend...

Last week we lost one of my musical heroes, Brian Wilson. Ever since I put to bed last week's Live Dive, I've been listening to Brian's music pretty much nonstop. I thought I'd wait to put out a tribute show celebrating Brian's music, but my ears and heart just wouldn't let me. So, it's with a heavy heart equally full of sadness for the loss and gratitude for the music he left behind that I curate...

Here's my latest escape. For this episode of DeepDives I've collected some of my favorite live songs pulled from decades of concerts both common and quite hard to find. I've taken great care in sequencing these songs as to flow in and out of each other creating (hopefully) a most enjoyable listening experience. Look for a tribute to the late great, Brian Wilson at the top of the show. Also look fo...

As the start of summer is just around the corner later this month I thought now would be a good time to put out the sequel to January's Cold Ones Dive. All the songs revolve around the theme of 'Heat". 🔥 All the usual DeepDives formats are in here spanning the years 1979 through 2022. I hope you enjoy, my friends and I'll see you back here next week for a brand new episode for your ears to enjoy....

My friends, here's this week's offering. A 1982 through 1995 Dive featuring AOR, Melodic Rock, Hard Rock, Hi-Tech & a smidge of WestCoast. This was a fun episode to put together. I added a few songs that might not necessarily be all that deep but they sure aren't ones you'll hear on the radio that's for sure. I hope you enjoy, and I'll see you back here next week for a brand new  DeepDives. I'...

This is the corrected version of this week's show. I played the wrong, Living In A Box, song and that mistake was driving me nuts. 😁  After a week spent playing WestCoast I was chomping at the bit to transition into some Hi-Tech. This episode has a little bit of Hi-tech everything, all between the years 1984 through 1994. Hi-Tech AOR, Melodic Rock, Classic Rock, Pop & R&B. These are the s...

After a week spent playing WestCoast I was chomping at the bit to transition into some Hi-Tech. This episode has a little bit of Hi-tech everything, all between the years 1984 through 1994. Hi-Tech AOR, Melodic Rock, Classic Rock, Pop & R&B. These are the salad years of Hi-Tech, and everyone was dipping a toe into its sounds. You're going to be surprised at some of the artists you'll find...

Here's another round of some of my favorite WestCoast songs spanning the last six decades, from 1977 through to just a couple of weeks ago. Some might say they don't make music like this anymore. I hope with this episode I'll be able to prove those folks wrong. Enjoy, my friends and I'll see you next week for another Dive for your ears to enjoy. 🤘

I hope you enjoyed last week's show because we're heading back to dive the same waters. The same genres apply: Melodic Rock, AOR, West Coast, Synthwave, Hard Rock & a wee smidge of Pop. All between the years 2000 through 2024. I hope you find this week's offering to your liking, my friends.🤘 Have a great week and I'll see you in seven-ish. 👊

It's been a hot minute since we've dived off the waters of the first twenty years of the new millennium, 2002 through 2023 to be exact. AOR, Melodic Rock, Powerpop, Synthwave, Hard Rock, Pop & Rock are all spots we'll be diving too. Get your flipper, goggles and wetsuit and let's go for a Dive! 🤘

I'm back with a Ladies's Night episode of DeapDives for your ears to enjoy. 🎶 This week every song features a lady's name in the title. Most of the time it's the only word in the title. For specialty themed shows I typically relax the song and artist paramotors and this episode was no exception. These are mostly artists that have made plenty of Dives appearances in previous episodes but as the us...
