Even the powerful prophet Elijah was not immune to discouragement. It's not an easy task to be God's messenger, but when those the message is for will not listen, it can become a discouraging task. Taking a drastic change of direction in life is needed by all followers of Jesus. The Bible's name for this change is repentance. We cannot do this without the support of the Holy Spirit. In the times we fail, we desperately need to get back up and continue to change.
