We pulled back the curtain a bit on our 2A section in this summer's Dave Campbell's Texas Football, including revealing our 2A rankings, and before that, we hit This Week in Recruiting with Next Level Athlete's Greg Powers.

The guys take a closer look at what you'll find in the 3A preview of this summer's Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine, reveal DCTF's Top 10s in both divisions, and then continue a debate that swept the internet. 

Before we got to our Friday viewer and listener questions, we talked a little about Godzilla (sorry), and then gave a glimpse into this year's 4A preview, including unveiling our Top 10 rankings for both divisions.

Matt Stepp was out at the Lexington 7-on-7 state qualifying tournament and caught up with a couple head coaches, and before that, we break down our 5A preview in this summer's magazine, including our preseason Top 10s.

Greg Powers of Next Level Athlete is here to talk about some of the biggest recruiting news in the state, and we go deep on what you can expect to see in this year's 6A section of Dave Campbell's Texas football magazine. 

Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger is on the cover of the 60th edition of Dave Campbell's Texas Football, we talked about the choice and the photo behind it, the cover story and play an interview from the photoshoot. We also reveal the gatefold cover: Duncanville and North Shore, and talk about that decision, the cover design and the dueling columns to go with it.

The magazine is finished this week! We talk about a few important notes for viewers and listeners, preview our cover reveal on Monday, randomly divert to television and a nerdy project by The Other Guy, and then head out to send the 60th Dave Campbell's Texas Football to press!

Greg Powers of Next Level Athlete updates us on Gruver WR Jalin Conyers, McKinney North TE Brandon Frazier, North Shore DB Denver Harris, and Lone Star QB Chandler Galban. Then, we try out a new experience for live viewers of the show.

Mount Vernon caused a stir on Friday with the controversial decision to hire Art Briles as head coach. We talked about that move and Bru McCoy's potential transfer back to USC from Texas. Then, Matt Stepp was out at the Hurst 7-on-7 tournament over the weekend and caught up with the new head coaches at Rockwall Heath and Mesquite Poteet. 

We're deep in the final week of putting out this summer's DCTF magazine, so we didn't have a ton of time today. However, we let listeners know again when we'll be revealing this year's cover, the subscription deadline if you want the magazine before it hits shelves, and answered a handful of viewer questions, including how Permian looks heading into 2019.
