Jesus, before his death, referenced the history of the Passover by comparing his blood to that of the lamb that was to be sacrificed. By doing so, he connected the past, present, and future. Through the sacrament of Communion, we in the church today can experience the freedom that comes from Christ's death and resurrection.

Ultimately, amidst all the trials that life throws at us, we should ask ourselves, where is Christ in all of this? The people were expecting a mighty warrior who would come and take over, but instead, they got a baby in a manger who would eventually conquer death.

It's easy to miss the presence of love when going through a difficult time. Joseph found love amid his struggles, specifically when his soon-to-be wife became pregnant with the son of God. How can we follow Joseph's example and learn to find love in our own difficult situations? Pastor Chuck suggests we focus on four types of love in our lives.

How can we find joy amidst the chaos in our lives? The answer lies in recognizing that Jesus brings the joy of salvation, and we should not be afraid of good news. Our true joy cannot be taken away, but we can surrender it if we fail to embrace it. When we fully embrace our joy, it leads to proclaiming and praising God, which can inspire others to do the same.
