There are times when we go through despair, as individuals and as nations. This was the experience of the prophet Habakkuk, and of Israel. Habakkuk begins in Chapter 1 verse 2, saying, "O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear?!" But we need to be patient as we wait for the fulfillment of God's promises.   

Jesus could do no mighty works because of their unbelief. Mark 6 reveals a very similar situation to the unbelief in Mark 9, only here, Jesus Himself could do no mighty work, save that He laid His Hands on a few sick folk and healed them, and He marvelled at their unbelief.
