Danger, Vicious Dog
Started updating my bio Dec 31, 2023. Accidentally wrote four autofiction books. Slid from narrative into monologue—not stream-of-consciousness, more like speech-speed meaning performance. Trained my voice into AI, produced a shit-ton of pieces. Had too many. Needed a place to dump them. Saw a sign that said “Beware, Vicious Dog!” Misread it. Named the podcast Danger, Vicious Dog. Didn’t fix it. Just kept going. Queer. Cosmic. Sarcastic. Cheap. Accidentally committed to the bit. Some voice and art is AI... I don't know how I feel about that... so I'm working on figuring it out... how I feel.

E3: E7: The Gospel According to Whoever is Left; S7: 7,7... almost a jackpot 26.06.2026 11:05
Every time I sit down to write one of these little episode descriptions, I accidentally turn it into another podcast episode. Which is exactly the problem. I’ve been hoarding episodes like a dragon hoards gold — except instead of gold it’s half‑finished audio files scattered across Notes, ElevenLabs, Suno, Logic Pro, random folders, and whatever dimension my brain disappears into when I’m not payi...
E2: Mania and Depression; S8: I'm CERTAIN those are both CERTAINty 26.06.2026 36:46
Every time I sit down to write one of these little episode descriptions, it becomes another podcast episode. So I’m not doing that. This is the post. The episode starts with about five minutes that many people will instinctively skip. Good. Then some of you won’t hear what the episode is actually doing. Also good. The episode eventually turns into two songs. Along the way it wanders through certai...
E1: Whatever the Volcano Wants; S8: Who the f=3k is Art? 23.06.2026 9:58
Trying to condense what I wrote about this song into 4000 characters feels a little like trying to fold a volcano into a suitcase. Every time I press one part down, another part erupts somewhere else. The piece wasn’t built to be summarized. It was built to sprawl, to leak, to refuse containment — which is funny, because that’s exactly what the song itself is about. The moment I start trimming, I...
E10: Everybody's Nose; S7: Atomic Clockwork Orange (Finale) 23.06.2026 40:01
Before anything else, I need to say this clearly: While this episode could be said to be about many things, the part that stands out most for me may not stand out for you. You might not understand why I’m even talking about it in the episode description. You might assume it’s just a behind‑the‑curtain look at one gay man’s quirks. And honestly, depending on your age or cultural context, that might...
E9: Sociopaths Make the Best Boyfriends; S7: Dissociation and Glitch 20.06.2026 15:13
A calm, affectless recounting of a queer encounter that never quite becomes what it pretends to be. Glitch‑piano dissociation, transactional intimacy, and the strange safety of being seen by someone who isn’t really looking. A story about performance, context, and the parts of ourselves we invent just to have something to transform.
E8: Side Effect of 7th and Pine; S7: No Trauma Zone? 17.06.2026 12:43
This may be the first episode I’ve ever made that contains no trauma. None. No childhood trauma. No political trauma. No societal trauma. No trauma involving sexuality. No trauma involving addiction. No trauma involving religion. No trauma involving genocide. No trauma involving the collapse of meaning. No trauma involving being gay in the 1980s. Actually, wait. There is a story about being gay in...
E7: Mind Explosion Sound; S7: Associative Human Superpowers on Display (Do not touch!) 14.06.2026 6:34
Welcome back to Season 7: Associative Human Superpowers on Display (Do Not Touch!) — the season where every episode is a controlled detonation of the human mind’s ability to connect things that should never be in the same room together. This episode, “Mind Explosion Sound,” is the most concentrated demonstration yet. Three humans — Geoff Talbot, Danger Vicious Dog, and Calibishie — wandered into a...
E6: Oops!; S7: When the Fat Lady Sings 13.06.2026 9:12
Oops! I did is again! I spent a good portion of this episode attempting to answer a question. Or perhaps attempting to construct a question. Or perhaps attempting to demonstrate how questions are constructed. It’s difficult to say. Fortunately, saying things has never been a major focus of this podcast. People often imagine that understanding arrives through explanation. Someone learns a fact. Som...
E5: The North; S7: Who Am I? I'll Tell You 10.06.2026 28:37
This week's episode starts off feeling fairly normal. A little memoir. A little storytelling. A song. A dead young man. Nothing too alarming. Then, gradually, things start connecting to other things. A story written at eighteen starts talking to a prose-poem written at thirty-nine, which starts talking to a song written at fifty-seven. A boyfriend becomes a symbol, then stops being one. A metaphor...
E4: The Outer Edge of Good Taste; S7: Liberace’s Cousin 06.06.2026 30:08
This episode contains: A conspiracy theory about podcast analytics. A failed musician attempting to become a successful failed musician. Seven Spotify listeners. Fifteen Google accounts. Two dogs humping reality from opposite directions. David Bowie trapped inside a dead search engine. Leonard Cohen dying at exactly the wrong moment. An executive director of a non-profit openly begging strangers f...
E3 A Speed Freak’s Critique of Empire; S7: Owning the Libs 03.06.2026 32:06
What if addiction isn’t a thing? Or at least not the thing we’ve been taught to see. This episode starts as a response to a Substack post and rapidly becomes something else: a critique of the way Western culture decides what counts as knowledge, whose stories are allowed to matter, and which explanations make it onto the menu. Because every system comes with a menu. There are approved causes. Appr...
E2: Welcome to the Algorithm; S7: Non-Alcoholic Libations (maybe just a little) 30.05.2026 51:30
One of the weirdest things about becoming visible online—even slightly visible—is discovering how quickly you start wanting reassurance from numbers. Not success. Not art. Not connection. Numbers. A graph moving upward. A little dashboard saying: “Good boy.” This episode started as something completely different. Then suddenly a few podcast episodes escaped containment and got hundreds of listens...
E1: Crème de cassis; S7: Liberated Panties 24.05.2026 39:13
This introduction is being written for Substack, which is a queer‑deaf place. Not hostile — just unable to hear the frequency queer people speak in. So I’m going to try to write something that will be legible to the queer‑deaf and also put them gently in their place. That’s what this introduction is for. And because “queer‑deaf” needs a definition, here’s the only one that makes sense: Queer‑deaf...
E10: Crash the Met Gala; S6: Lesion Leash (finale) 23.05.2026 22:09
The episode has no wants. And one of them was to not stay in one piece. So it grabbed its own arm and pulled it off. To hand it to me… along with the hand, and the elbow and the shoulder. And while that was happening, the hand was going one way, the elbow another, the shoulder another. Bodies are amazing things, don’t you think? Then we made some Bacon. The Bacon was capitalized, like this: Bacon....
E9: I've Been Waiting; S6: Godot Has AIDS (Shocking Truth Revealed) 20.05.2026 19:32
This episode begins with mania, wanders through geopolitics, Tesla crumple‑zones, revenge fantasies, AIDS grief, gay AA in Palm Springs, MIDI sequencers, erotic electrocution anxiety, and a dying cowboy in a Speedo who just wanted someone to sing harmony with him before he disappeared from the earth. So, naturally, it becomes a love story about tenderness. Human beings are disgusting little miracl...
E8: My Pet Monkey, S6: Counter‑leash‑ference 16.05.2026 35:26
I’ve been playing with Suno again. Which is dangerous, because I have hundreds of songs already up on Spotify and Apple Music and everywhere else, and Suno’s copyright filter is like a TSA agent who can’t tell the difference between a bomb and a sandwich. If I put in one of my own songs — songs I wrote, recorded, produced, and legally own — it blocks them because it thinks I’m stealing from my...
E7: The Friendly Driver; S6: Self-Retracting Leash (Ethical Jello Wrestling with Muddy John Waters) 15.05.2026 46:20
E7: The Friendly Driver — Description (Demonic Hera Symposium Zeusified Edition) Imagined Symposium Commentary (Now With Full Breakdown and Metaphysical Brawl) Arthur L. Rambo‑Cohen , poet‑theorist of emotional vandalism, opens the session with his usual cigarette‑shaped sigh: “This episode is what happens when autobiography becomes a migratory species.” He believes this is a compliment. No one el...
E6: The Other Side; S6: Fleshy Leash-y (Bonus) Or we could just call it Melissa Etheridge 14.05.2026 28:40
There are people you never stop following. Not because they were good for you. Not because they loved you well. Not because they stayed. You follow them because they became a hallway in your mind that keeps rearranging itself every time you walk through it. This episode moves through AA basements, sex during the AIDS crisis, artistic compulsion, emotional asymmetry, obsession disguised as devotion...
E5: Sepulveda Effigy; S6: Relish the Re-Leash 10.05.2026 16:38
A city spends forty years preventing a subway from reaching its wealthy beach community because they fear “outsiders,” then spends the next forty years complaining that no one can afford to work in their restaurants, clean their homes, or care for their aging bodies. The train finally arrives empty. You install hundreds of security cameras across sand dunes to monitor danger, but every danger ente...
E4: Onomatopoeia; S6: Up for Lease (Bonus) 09.05.2026 9:25
You’re probably noticing a pattern by now. I keep circling around the same things: responsibility, performance, authenticity, pragmatism, spectacle, care, self-preservation, manipulation, survival. Human beings constructing little wire bridges over impossible gaps and then pretending they were always there. I think part of why I’m asking these questions is because I don’t trust easy morality anymo...
E3 Love Is a Group; S6: Lash my lashes with a leash 07.05.2026 29:36
“Love Is a Group” wanders through 1987 Los Angeles wearing a tube dress, a student body president pin, and enough contradictory identities to make an entire school district develop stress hives. This episode starts where expulsion paperwork, forged absence notes, bomb threats, student council politics, AIDS-era panic, and adolescent theatre-kid populism all begin collapsing into each other like sh...
E2: Left In Silence (Megacolon); S5: (Un)bleached 05.05.2026 17:52
Is this fiction? No, it’s clearly not fiction. It’s a transcript of a mind trying—and failing—to sit still. But all memory is reconstruction, so technically it is fiction. Right, but if everything is fiction, then calling it fiction is meaningless. Exactly. Which is why we keep talking. This episode begins in a windowless cruise cabin—already a metaphor you didn’t ask for—and spirals outward int...
E1: Bag (with an F) Bashers — S6: Unleashed 03.05.2026 52:48
Recorded from the sensory deprivation chamber of an interior cruise cabin, Season 6 opens mid-sprawl. What begins as an attempt to read from a set of autofiction books dissolves—predictably—into something else: a drifting, recursive excavation of memory, identity, and performance. From teaching himself to tie shoes “wrong,” to growing up in 1980s Manhattan Beach under the shadow of nuclear anxiety...
E10: Centring the Trans; S5: Lived/Deaded (Finale) 19.04.2026 49:03
This one starts with a headset, a wireless mic, and a person pacing around their house trying to think out loud without deciding what they think first. There are ribs in an Instant Pot. There are potatoes that may or may not be timed correctly. There is a puppy tangling itself in cords and demanding to be acknowledged as the central organizing force of the universe. And somewhere inside all of tha...
E9: Clickbait Debate; S5: Livin' La Vida Loca 18.04.2026 18:47
Two voices enter. Neither leaves with dignity. Welcome to a kitchen in April 2020: ribs in an Instant Pot, hands washed raw from crosswalk buttons, a new puppy doing something morally superior with its time—and then, without permission, the floor drops out. You’re in a 1991 Hollywood motel. AIDS. Meth. Peanut M&Ms as harm reduction. No transition. No narrator asking if you’re okay with this. T...
