Understanding the consciousness of Tzadik (aka- what true reality actually is!) empowers us to do the avoda that we are created to do. Triggers become tools. And moments of darkness become opportunities to be with hashem within them. There is never a moment that will be asking you to turn yourself against yourself. The world is not dualistic. Everything is working FOR the Oneness, not against it. Your inner world is not dualistic either. There is nothing inside of you that is working against you.
