Daily Reflections with Fr. John

This Advent let us awake from our sleep and be vigilant! That means we need to pray...rejoice...and have the desire to reach out to all we know and encounter and to invite them to follow Jesus.

All of us are called to follow the true king and to live in the truth. Jesus our king suffered and died for you! Today let us celebrate his love.

Today we are called to reflect on our lives and how we are living, our attitude and our responsibility to follow Jesus above everything else.

Today we are called to examine the extent to which each of us truly gives of what we have.

Today we are called to recognize our own blindness, our own struggle and call out to the Lord of life and love. "Have pity on me". Please Lord show me your mercy and compassion.

In our Gospel for today we see that service requires humility and sacrifice.

Today my friends we are called to let go of all that hinders us from freely giving our life to Jesus, to move from a material world to a life with Christ.

Let us reflect on the beauty of the Sacrament and Vocation. We reflect on the four main areas of marriage: Free, Total, Faithful, and Fruitful!

Do not allow jealousy to get in the way of the work of the Spirit. Never lead others to sin.

Today we reflect on what it means to accept the call to be great.

Let us take time this day to reflect on our relationship with the Lord of life.

We all need to allow Jesus to open our ears and our mouth so that we may hear his word and speak his message.

We are all called to look into our own lives and what is on the inside rather than point fingers and find fault in others

Do you choose Christ? Do you accept him? Peter's response was clear, To whom shall we god? You have the words of everlasting life!

Today we reflect on Mary as Dynamic Disciple as mother of the Eucharist and as the one who leads us to Christ.

Jesus gives us his body and blood, his true flesh to eat. Come and receive his true presence.

Today Jesus shares with us who he is: I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE. Let us all place our focus on him.

Jesus is always there for us and we open our hearts and give what we have so that Jesus may truly give us what is most important.

Jesus was moved with pity for the crowds that were forming. You and I must grow in our compassion for one another.

he disciples were summand to go forth two by two, to preach with authority and to take nothing for the journey. We are also summand, called to share the good news and to let go of all the clutter.

How do you see the Lord of life? You and I must let go of our jealousies and our desire to categorize or to simply judge by appearance. Accept Jesus into your life.

Today we meet Jairus, a very sick woman, the daughter of Jairus and the large crowd. We must have the courage to come to the Lord for healing and strength.

Let us take a moment and look at how we handle our daily struggles. Let us turn to the Lord who is in control of every storm.

It is from humble beginnings that we come to know Jesus and it is from humble beginnings that we grow as individuals and as church. 

Today my friends you and I are called to the table of God's love, to gather as a family and to receive the Body of Christ, the source and summit of our lives.
