Daily Reflections with Fr. John

Jesus freely accepts his death. Let us prepare to enter into the most sacred week.

Today we reflect on the meaning of blasphemy. Jesus did not commit this sin he was true God and true man. It is important that we do not fall into the sin of blasphemy. 

Let us keep the word of God. I am a child of God seeking God forever. Let us live and follow God each moment of our life.

Embracing Jesus, we come to discover the truth and accepting Jesus we will find true freedom.

Let us reflect this day on Jesus as true God and true Man! Get to know Jesus not simply about him but who he really is.

Jesus shares with us who he is..."I am the Light of the world". Let us open our hearts and allow the light to shatter the darkness of our lives.

Let us stop condemning one another. Let us recognize our own sinfulness and seek the Lord's mercy and forgiveness.

Today let us give Jesus every opportunity to come into our hearts so that we may truly recognize him.

There are many who do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah, the son of God. Let us open our eyes this day to our Lord and Messiah. 

Give God Glory. Everything you and I do with our talent, our time, and our treasure is meant to give praise to God and not self-glory.

Jesus is greater than the law. Today we focus on relationship between the Father and the Son. We come to believe that Jesus is true God and true man.

Jesus comes to a crippled man by the pool and tells him to pick up his mat and walk. We are called to open our hearts to hear the Jesus who desires to heal each of us from our sins. 

We are challenged to believe in Jesus, not because of the many miracles and signs but because of who Jesus is. The royal official trust in the Lord and believed in him.

God loves you so very much. God runs out to meet you. Today we hear the parable of the Prodigal Son. Let us come to our senses and seek the Lord.

How do you pray, like the Pharisee, judging others, putting down others or like the Tax Collector, be merciful to me a sinner?

Mary said yes to accepting God's Will, God's plan for her. We all have a choice to accept or reject God's call. 

Jesus is much stronger than evil. The devil does not stand a chance against the Almighty! Always follow Jesus.

Do not disobey the laws! Follow the laws or better yet live the laws in your daily life.

To forgive can be very difficult but please know God forgives you. God loves you. Strive to share that forgiveness with others.

Today is a good day to ask yourself if you acknowledge the good works Jesus does in you and to proclaim him and recognize him in every part of your life and that you do not just take him for granted.

Today we are called to repentance to place our trust in God to be open to God's mercy and forgiveness. Repent and believe in the Gospel!

Joseph is truly a profound blessing for the church. He is a man of no words but such great faith and trust in God. He is committed to following God's plan for him.

Have you ever felt rejection? Take courage! Do not become discouraged, Jesus has a plan for you. Jesus was rejected and became the cornerstone for you.

Take time and recognize the person next to you. That person has a name. Do not get swallowed up in the comforts of life that you miss out hearing the person at your door step. 

Are you truly committed to following Jesus? Have you given yourself over to him?
