Daily Reflections with Fr. John

The birth of John the Baptist reminds all of us that Miracles happen and that God has a plan for every child.

How do you spot a true prophet in our day and age? A true prophet is filled with the Spirit and has attributes, fruits that are visible. 

What do you treat as Holy and Sacred? God is holy, You are holy and the the Sabbath is holy

Do not judge lest you be judged but at the same time be there for one another and confront sin when it is evident.

To we are so fortunate to focus our attention on the Eucharist. We are reminded that this is truly the Body and Blood of Christ.

You cannot serve two masters. You have a choice God and Mammon. Choose wisely.

Where is your heart? Answering that question is simple what treasures do you seek after? Earthy treasures or Heavenly treasures?

The Our Father is a quality prayer to help us grow. Pray it everyday.

Today we review the three pillars of Almsgiving, Praying, and Fasting. These are not simply a part of the Lenten season but throughout our entire lives.

We need to show love at all times and to give love even to our enemies. As children of God we follow God's ways.

Today we celebrate our patron of our parish community. We learn so much from this great preacher and theologian. Let us pray for each other.

Today we give praise to God. One God three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We celebrate this unity as the one Church.

Let your yes be yes and your no be no. YES to God...NO to Satan

Today we take some time and reflect on the beauty of sacred Matrimony

Let us grow in Holiness so that we can live lives of compassion and concern for others.

Laws are so important because they lead us to Christ and help us to experience God's love for us.

You are the salt of the earth, you are the light of the world. By our very baptism we are called to be seasoning and help others see you and me as a light leading others to Christ. 

Jesus said to the disciple Behold your Mother. The disciple is all of us the church. When he said to Mary, behold your son, Jesus made her the mother of the church. She loves you and wants you to come to Jesus.

Today we open our hearts to the power of the Holy Spirit and allow the Spirit to help us to guide us to deepen our faith.

Today we reflect on this Easter Season and how we have grown to be stronger Christians and how we have so much to do and grow in our relationship with God and one another.

Today we visit with St. Charles and Companions and see that their love is so profound that they faced martyrdom. We are called to this love to stand for Jesus.

Jesus prays that all may be one. Rather than live in our conflict we need to focus on the mission and that is to follow Jesus and to be there for one another.

Today Jesus prays for all of us to remain secure in his name and to turn our back on the evil one.

Mary visited Elizabeth. In that visitation we see the importance and beauty of friendship, God's presence of love in our lives and a deep faith in God.

We pray for our fallen heroes in this country who have given their life. Let us pray for all who have served in the Military.
