Daily Psalm Reading

Psalm 100! Today we read from a number of translations! I don't normally share what my favourite translation is but for this particular psalm the NASB captures it beautifully. Join with me as we read and reflect on this beautiful psalm.

This has been one of the most difficult psalms to read. It is full of graphic language and a plea for rescue. It doesn't offer deep theological answers, but gives a voice to trauma and pain. Join me as we read from the ESV and NIRV.

In the previous psalm Asaph (the psalmist, or leader of the psalmists) remembers what God has done to get himself out of a slump. This psalm encourages us to remember and teach others what God has done so we don't forget who He is and turn away. It's a long one at over 70 verses so we only read from the GNT.

What do we say when we are in trouble? Do we feel so overwhelmed we can't even find words? This psalmist is in deep distress and cannot even sleep because of how they are feeling. What do they do? They remember God. Let's listen and reflect from the NLT and NASB.
