I discuss our need to be as a gentle as a dove but wise as a serpent. God gives wisdom to anyone who asks (James 1:5) and looks after our vulnerable heart when we give without a self-serving agenda.

We can trust the Lord to keep His promises of abundant provision. John 10:10

The way we approach our day, in our attitudes, thoughts and demeanour, can affect the outcomes of our day. May we remember Moses, his brother and 70 elders who saw God "and under his feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself." (Exodus 24:10)

Jesus in the New Testament fulfills the Old Testament such as the thorns on his head which can be connected to the thorns that sprung up after Adam and Eve had sinned in the Garden of Eden. I give further examples.

God can turn all our failures into good. 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness".

Are we wearing too many shoes, wearing too many hats? Shall we listen to the Lord and slow down to do His will and thus be more fulfilled? Proverbs 3:5-6; Jeremiah 29:11

In John 14:27 Jesus promises us peace in the midst of any circumstances we are in. I explore a few verses as to what He really means by that.

The Israelites were led from Egypt to the Promised Land by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire by night. Numbers 9:22 "Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for 2 days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when it lifted, they would set out". May we be led by the Lord even if we have to wait for the cloud to be lifted.

We are encouraged to set our "minds on things above, not on earthly things" (Colossians 3:2) and to "let not our heart be troubled and neither let it be afraid" (John 14:28)

We often live our life here on earth, forgetting that we don't have it forever but also without the assurance that we can move into eternity.

There is order and purpose in our lives even if we can't see it. Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good ...

Today I had an imagery of a foamy seashore which, though fun, does not have consistency and is in contrast to still waters which provide us with truth and peace.  This is linked to Psalm 46.10 "Be still and know that I am God".

When praying first thing this morning I had a picture of a black spot, depicting unbelief, and a white band of light in front of it, depicting Truth.  This reminded me of a previous revelation when, one night, I had had my curtains open with my bedroom light on.  When I observed the effect the light of my room had on the garden and yet the darkness of the night had no means of infiltrati...
