Today’s Gospel Reading is Luke 24:35-48 Jesus reminds the apostles of who they are, witnesses of “these things”… Jesus’s Life, Mission, Death, and Resurrection. Jesus is not just speaking to the 11 remaining apostles, but now, He is speaking to us as well. Everyone who is baptized into life in Christ is called to be a witness. How will you witness today? Praised Be Jesus Christ!  

Today’s Gospel Reading is John 6:16-21 The Disciples are in a boat crossing the sea. Jesus is walking on water towards them, and though they are afraid, they immediately arrive on shore. Jesus wants us to know that we are not to be afraid of Him, His miracles, or His teachings, especially that of His True Presence in the Eucharist. Be Not Afraid. Praised Be Jesus Christ!  

Today’s Gospel Reading is John 6:1-15. This is the beginning of the Bread of Life Discourse, where Jesus feeds the 5000. Jesus wants to feed the people with bread that has no earthly origin. This reminds us how close we can be to Jesus and still reject Him. How easily do we choose to run into the dark instead of remaining in the light of Christ? Today’s Gospel Reading is John 12:1-11 Mary anointed the feet of Jesus with a costly perfumed oil. She reverences the Lord who has done great things for her, and she is trying to pay back this small bit that she can. Today’s Gospel Reading is from the Gospel of Mark. “Hosannah to the Son of David”. The people welcome Jesus to Jerusalem, thinking he is their kind of Messiah. They will not even one week later, yell “crucify Him, crucify Him”. We are called to enter into Jesus’s suffering, to stand underneath the cross with Mary and Joseph. Praised Be Jesus Christ!

Today’s Gospel Reading is John 11:45-56 Jesus has taken the step back, having completed His teaching mission. We’ve now arrived at the Passover. Just as the Jews sacrifice the lamb, Jesus, the true Lamb is preparing to be the voluntary sacrifice of Merciful Love. Praised Be Jesus Christ!

Today’s Gospel Reading is John 10: 31-42. Jesus says, if my actions don’t back up what I say, don’t believe me. Of course, Jesus’s actions do back His words up, and so we are called to true belief. We are called to wrestle with His words as well, when we do, how will you respond to Jesus’s words? Praised Be Jesus Christ!

Today’s Gospel Reading is John 8:51-59 "Before Abraham came to be, I am.” Jesus is the New Covenant. He is the the one who brings not only those who are the descendants of Abraham by flesh, but all people, into relationship with the Father. Praised Be Jesus Christ!
