James 5:1 starts the last chapter with a heavy message: Weep and howl for the miseries coming upon you!. Take sin seriously and grieve over it. We often have a cheap grace, but we should recognize the depth of pain caused by our sin. Are you trusting in money 

James 4:17 is a mic drop: Whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. If you know to do it, are you doing it?. This challenges us to be sensitive to others in different places in their journey. The chapter goes from judging to boasting, the top and bottom bun of the pride sandwich. Are we seeking God's will or trying to get Him to align with our desires?. God's priority is our sanctification, not just our happiness. Stay in your lane and remember He's God, and you are His servant.

 James 4:14 reminds us life is a mist that appears briefly and then vanishes. It's a harsh verse that puts our power into perspective. Before stepping into God's lane, remember your life is just a vapor. What does this mean for you, your family, and your community?

James 4:13 challenges the presumptuousness of planning for profit without acknowledging God. It's not that investing is bad, but what's missing is acknowledging that God is in charge. We often believe things will stay the same, forgetting God is on the throne. Remember to keep God in perspective.
