Dad's Rules with Kevin Belzer
This podcast is based around my rules for being a kickass adult. Over the past 50 years, I have used myself as a guinea pig, of sorts, testing these rules out. We will discuss the ones that worked, and should be carved into stone, as well as the ones I threw to the side. I am all about making us all better humans, even if it is at my own expense. Plan to laugh, cry, and cringe as I go over Dad's Rules, relationships, and interview people, that are truly living a kickass life in every way. So, get off my lawn and live your kickass life!!!

Tim Herriage is Executive Director of RCN Capital, $1 billion + of real estate transactions and has bought or sold 1300+ houses. Tim spent time talking about connections, knowing the right people to m...

We are down to the last few recap episodes. On this episode, we have two powerhouse speakers that I recap, Luke Vennard and Terrence Burner. Luke Vennard is a partner at Sterling Group United, a 9 figure entrepreneur and financial expert. He asked some powerful questions. What is my potential? Who am I inside? Do you have the fight in you? What kind of person am I? What drives me? What motiv...

In Part VII, we have 3 speakers to recap. 1st, Curtis Ray, founder of MPI Unlimited, 1.5 million + social media followers and brand worth $10s of millions. Although we stay out of the deep talk of money that he is known for, we do scrape the...

As the markets all shift, it will become apparent that many fields are saturated. In order to stand out, to stand above the competition, it wi...
23 - MenaceCon Recap Part V 28.09.2022 19:25
We continue my recap of MenaceCon 2022. So many speakers and so much quality content to go over. Rather than try and rush through the speakers and what I took out of their talks, I have decided to break it down to 1-3 speakers per episode. By doing this, I can spend more time deep diving into the takeaways and, hopefully, deliver more value to you, my fellow Kickass Adults. Today's Episode w...

21 - MenaceCon Recap Part III 14.09.2022 19:40
We continue our march through MenaceCon and it's star filled speakers. Rather than make this a race and try to wrap this all up in an episode or two, I chose to do a deep dive on all the speakers. By taking our time, I felt I could better elaborate on what I got out of their speeches. I took 16 total pages of notes so this will take quite a few episodes to cover. Since it is my show, I talke...
20 - MenaceCon Recap Part II 07.09.2022 23:18
We are continuing my recap of thoughts and insights into MenaceCon 2022. Today's episode will cover Gary Brecka, co-founder of 10x Health Systems and Bio Hacker. Absolutely fascinating man and story. Big takeaway for me was that we sure do put a lot of garbage into our systems. Next, Tommy Mello was up. He is the founder of A1 Garage Doors. Hey! I use their services! They have had sales in e...
19 - MenaceCon 2022 Recap Part I 31.08.2022 20:33

Don't say I didn't give you enough notice! With so much knowledge to share and trying to keep the l...

Challenges are great. Well, they are if you create them and follow through. We will discuss my current one and how you can join in one too. Also, we will talk about how I get attention in business. What are you doing to get attention for what is important for you and your business? Lastly, we should always be learning. Sometimes, we need reminders that help get us back on track. I may...
17 - Beliefs Part III 17.08.2022 14:51
We wrap up a 3 episode arc on beliefs by focusing on three recent Supreme Court cases. This week, we look at the recent ruling concerning a teacher who was praying on school grounds. No matter your beliefs, we need to be asking ourselves if we are hearing each other. We may not change minds. In fact, highly unlikely. However, maybe, just maybe we can find a way to hold a conversation without...
16 - Beliefs Part II 10.08.2022 15:05
We continue our 3 episode arc about beliefs. This one will cover another ruling by the Supreme Court, abortion. I go over the case, a story that I have never told publicly about why I have my beliefs as well as what this ruling really means. All of this in less than 16 minutes. There are reasons we all have the beliefs we do. Some of them, we will never see eye to eye. But, that doesn't mean...
15 - Beliefs Part I 03.08.2022 13:37
I will be covering 3 recent Supreme Court cases. I will be tying in reasons that people develop the beliefs they have. Some will take this as political. Look, I have to use something as an example and these cases fit in perfectly. Besides, the media is the one hyping up what is and isn't political anyway. If we can instead look at these as what they are, issues, and instead have civil conver...
14 - Don't Be A Jerk 27.07.2022 17:28
Today, we will go over Rule #1 - Don't Be An Asshole. Seems simple, right? The first thing we owe each other is kindness. Why is this such a challenge for some to figure out? If you want to get the most out of life, this rule is critical. Treat others how you would want to be treated. It is easy to think that assholes win in life. Steve Jobs comes to mind. He had wealth but what else d...
13 - Challenge Accepted 20.07.2022 11:53
Today, we are going to discuss the Mendon, Missouri train crash. Now, rather than take the political angle that all the papers, media (social and mainstream) and online sites took, we will look at it from the citizens of Mendon's perspective. They rose to a remarkable level that I believe is possible for all. We will tie this into a rule I am hashing out. Rule #21 - Challenge Accepted. Do you want...
12 - Unsubscribe Part III 13.07.2022 16:02
Today, we will wrap up Rule #20 - Unsubscribe. This one was such a big deal to me that I couldn't see glossing over it. We spend so much time being distracted by outside sources. While many may have value, we are only human. We will find a way to abuse them. We quickly recap the previous two part and then dive into the topic at hand. The two main points in this episode are around two q...

9 - Nachos, Keto and Goals 22.06.2022 17:16
Episode 9 is all about goals. However, we start it all off with me being ridiculous and singing a jingle about a chair. So, why goals? Simply put, life can't be achieved at a high level off of resolutions and dreams alone. Without an end goal, through a mapped out plan, you will fail. I will cover the importance of writing out your goals, my opinion on what time frame those should be s...
8 - Chase The Yes 15.06.2022 16:32
Procrastination is the killer of dreams. It destroys progress. We need to look at every situation as an inevitable yes. Whether you make a decision or not, you are saying yes to your future. It just may not be the one you want if you procrastinate. On this episode, we discuss how Ben Franklin got clarity in making decisions. We also talk about that time I tried out for a rock and roll band....
