Daddy's Silly Bedtime Stories

This one is a classic from 1989 (I think? Can't remember exactly when the 1st Batman movie came out) that involves primo Andres + the TV show "Talk Soup" + the Batman movie + a Prince music video. If you like the "Smooth as a jaccuzzi" catch phrase, you'll have a new one after this.

This one is about the time (there were many of these) that Daddy was hungry and wanted the free pizza...and his friends from lab helped come up with a plan to get it. Listen for the funny excuse given when the plan went south :)

Yup. The title says it all. Add in some nervousness and a trip to Spain, and you got a story.  This one come on the heels of Liam having a molar removed!!

True story:  I could see the 'ghost' arrow everytime....every single time. I'm telling the truth. I'm not crazy.

This one is the time I had a birthday party in 2nd grade....and chaos ( i wished for) ensued

Apparently Nuria really REALLY doesn't like this story and continues to blame Avi for it.... You'll hear Avi telling this one as a special guest visitor ;0

This one is not about Daddy...but... Avi's brother and Daddy's Uncle Jordi!  This one goes back in time quite a ways, and is still hilarious ;0

This one is about how I ended up with my classic Chevy Citation.... and how some flames were a part of it 

Ever seen a parent lose their mind at a kid sporting event?  Well.....listen to this one and you may get a sense at the shock I had.... and then the laughing at the end was real too!

So the kids were watching "Kung-Fu Panda 1" and it reminded me of the time that Lapoint (of many stories on this podcast) pulled his own version of the move on me. On accident. I think.

Remember how scared folks were about Y2K?  No? You don't remember because you were not born yet?  Oh yeah, this one is fun and historical

Two stories in one day!  This one is about the time Mommy Chris & I played softball in Michigan, and she didn't quite understand how to tag the runner coming home from 3rd base... 

This one is in honor of Maggie telling me that she is doing a reading contest this year....and how it went for me in 4th grade (and for Avi!)

A relatively recent story where Daddy, I admit, got a little bit frustrated with his children's behavior and possibly reacted a bit too harshly....

This one is about Tia Maria and one of the many stories about her as a kid. Specifically the time that she had a birthday party as a kid and blew away all of the attendees with (several) simple words...

A great example of not only faulty memory, but I got the song AND the lyrics wrong after going back and looking up the lyrics online (apparently they say "MOVE to the jacuzzi", not SMOOTH....yes, it was Bel Biv Devoe, but "Do me" and not "Poison"... apparently my 90s R&B isn't as strong as I thought).  I'm not changing anything now.....

WOW! This story just happened 3 days ago, but it was so ridiculous, we had to quickly tell the story again.  We're so sad our pals Emilia and Giulia couldn't be here to tell their part, maybe they can add their vision later :)

This one is about the time that someone else (not me, seriously) decided that they were bored enough to visit the local armory in Claremont (well, maybe Kearny Mesa) and go for a drive in something actually much bigger than your typical SUV.  

A nearly in real-time episode...without the kids! Just Christine & I telling the story of what happened over the weekend in March while dog sitting, when we went for a walk on our local hill and came back with more living animals than expected. The cover image here tells the (gross) entire tale.

This one is relatively recent (October 2023!) and it was about the time I took all 3 kids to get their booster shot.  Let's say it wasn't exactly smooth sailing, even with my seemingly very smart idea to distract them ;0

This one is about the time Cousin Andres flew in from Ecuador and arrived to a party.... and decided to celebrate his arrival in, maybe, not the smartest way.

Yup, a story with lots of exciting background happenings, and maybe (maybe??) these stories aren't appropriate in today's day & age.... I'll take that risk :0

Holiday season time! We got a classic story from a holiday party that happened about 10 years ago where there was a White Elephant, and well.... someone didn't like what they ended up with.

A final story with not only Sara & Camila, but also Tia Montse to help tell the tale of a waiter with the strongest accent. Props to the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in Kearny Mesa :0

This one is about one of the poorest decisions Daddy ever made, and somehow it all worked out for him without anyone getting hurt. YIKES! Still scary to think of! (Oh yes, our primas Sara & Camila are here :) )
