Fear is something we all experience. There are many reasons to feel fearful, both real and imagined. In Christ, we don’t have to be enslaved by our fears. We can rise above them.

The theme of a lamb runs through Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. There are 11 Hebrew words and 4 Greek words used to describe this animal. Understanding this theme is crucial to the context of the good news of Jesus.

Whenever there is a crisis, you have three essential needs. You need truth, a leader, and you need help. In the ancient world, God met those needs through the prophet, the priest, and the king.

Jesus is teaching about the coming Kingdom when a scribe stands up to challenge Jesus’ teaching with a question. Jesus responds in agreement with one’s duty to YHWH and also gives a story about how one should love the people around them and rocks their world (again).
