Rockcast 60 - That's Ray...May-Or-ga of Stone sour 20.02.2018 15:13
It's always nice to catch up with anyone in Stone Sour, but conversations with drummer Roy Mayorga always end up to be a lot of fun. Now get Kaytie involved after a few hour drive to the show, and let the fun begin. Stone Sour is currently on tour behind their album 'Hydrograd' and will be opening the North American leg of the final tour from Ozzy Osbourne this year. (Also sorry for walking throug...

Kaytie and I went backstage with the Akron, OH rock and roll band Red Sun Rising. After a debut record that saw three songs top the charts, it's time to unleash their second album 'Thread' upon the world on March 30th. The songwriting, the lyrics, what they used for instruments, where they wrote and recorded, and every other detail you could possibly want about this new album is discussed in this...
Rockcast 58 - No Holds Barred with Robb Flynn of Machine Head 16.02.2018 45:10
Robb Flynn is the outspoken frontman for Bay Area metal band Machine Head, who have just released their 9th studio album 'Catharsis.' This album has moments that are a bit of departure for Machine Head, specifically the song "Bastards." With slumping CD sales and increasing streams it may have looked like this album wasn't going to do as well as past releases, but a closer look says that's not ent...
Rockcast 57 - Anal Bleaching with Zakk Wylde 13.02.2018 12:44
Hey I'm not here to judge. Besides what's wrong with a good cleansing? Time for some more fun and games with Zakk Wylde. I caught up the legendary guitarist from Ozzy and the leader of Black Label Society before a show at the historic Rave in Milwaukee, WI. We talk Grimmest Hits, we talk the No More Tours 2 announcement from his boss, and yeah there's some talk about anal bleaching, don't judge. Z...
Rockcast 56 - The End of the Compact Disc 08.02.2018 44:40
With the recent announcement by Best Buy that will not be selling CD's in their stores as of July 1st and that Target is making music manufacturers sell them only on a consignment basis, is this the end of an era? I posed this question on my Facebook page as well and most seemed to say they've only been going to the local independent record shop anyway. What about nationally? CD sales have been dw...
Rockcast 55 - Welcome to Avatar Country 06.02.2018 35:46
Avatar (the band) formed in 2001 in Gothenburg, Sweden, a city that is also home to great metal bands like In Flames and The Haunted. I've been lucky enough to know these lovely Swedes since they first came to America on tour for their album 'Black Waltz.' Now with the release of their 7th studio album the band Avatar are ready to pay glory to their king and welcome us to 'Avatar Country' as I sit...
Rockcast 54 - Kaytie with Ben Burnley 03.02.2018 18:47
Ben Burnley is of course the lead singer and really the mastermind behind one of modern rock's biggest bands of the past 15 years Breaking Benjamin. Kaytie caught up with our old friend backstage on The Stage world tour where Breaking Benjamin is playing direct support for Avenged Sevenfold. The tour is incredible, the show is amazing and we got to witness for the very first time, Breaking Benjami...

What is success? What is success in the music business? What does it mean to be a successful band or even radio personality? These questions get answered with myself and Kaytie discussing what it means to be successful. Also there are some strong words in regards to the legal system towards the end of Rockcast 51. Cutter: @cuttermedia Kaytie: @KTRGrocks

This is also the 50th official Rockcast, and thank you so mu...
Rockcast 49 - Perception of what you hear 04.01.2018 42:52
First and foremost I can't count, but I digress. Kaytie and I received this email about the music we play on our home base radio station Razor 94.7. The email inspired a conversation about the perception of what you actually hear on the radio and what you think you hear. Also why certain songs or bands are played versus others. It's a question we've been asked over and over again and hopefully thi...

Brock Lindow is the lead singer of the metal band 36 Crazyfists. On this Rockcast we get the history of the band and how being a lead singer in a metal band and a radio DJ work together. Plus Kaytie fang...
Rockcast 47 - Fear and Harassment 07.12.2017 55:23
With all of the sexual harassment and assault being brought to light in the entertainment business we felt maybe it was time for a dumb guy and two women to dissect the issues on the music business side of it. To help us do that, Kaytie and Cutter are joined by Haleigh Dever. Hales was most recently doing nights on The Blitz in Columbus, OH until she was let go this past summer. She now has been t...

Rockcast 45 - Jerry Horton from Papa Roach 25.11.2017 14:17
Jacboby Shaddix of Papa Roach once told his guitar player Jerry Horton and myself that we look so much alike we could be brothers. I don't see it but hey what the hell. Always amazing to catch up with Jerry who's one of my favorite guitar players in modern rock. We did joke around about being each other's doppelganger at the beginning of the conversation, but we were cut off. We then picked up the...
Rockcast 44 - The Replacements 17.11.2017 39:07
With the announcement of Jeff Gutt as the new frontman for Stone Temple Pilots, Kaytie and I decided to discuss the "replacements" in rock. We dissected the bands that have been successful with new members and those who haven't, along with tons of our usual ridiculousness.
Rockcast 43 - To Phone or Not to Phone 14.11.2017 31:32
In light of 60 people being kicked out of an A Perfect Circle show for recording and taking pictures with their phones, Kaytie and I ask the question: Is it worth it? For years bands and venues alike have said no recording devices of any kind will be permitted into the show. Now with technology everyone has a recording device in their pocket, but what's too much? Kaytie: @KTRGrocks Cutter: @cutter...
Rockcast 42 - Metal Brothers with Gojira 07.11.2017 18:17
The title might be a bit misleading, but after this conversation with Joe Duplantier (singer/guitarist) of Gojira that's kind of what it felt like. This is two guys talking about writing, talking about metal and talking about being dads.

On the latest host episode of the Rockcast Kaytie and Cutter discuss what it actually takes to interview all these rockstars you hear us talk to. We discuss how bad interviews happen and why Cutter generally feels bad for those musicians who have to keep answering the same question over and over again. Plus there's some sex jokes and a drinking game. Everytime Kaytie says "Rock on the Range" drink...
Rockcast at Aftershock - Jeremy Spencer of Five Finger Death Punch 27.10.2017 6:44
Sure we had this conversation while at Aftershock before Five Finger Death Punch's performance on day 2, but I had to save it until today. Why? Cause I promised. There is a new Death Punch song out today called "Trouble." It's on the new greatest hits album 'Decade of Destruction' due out December 1st. Jeremy and I quickly caught up on the new song and what it means to have a greatest hits record....
Rockcast at Aftershock - Butcher Babies 23.10.2017 25:30
I have always had a respect for The Butcher Babies in just how they have become a popular band. They haven't had a radio hit or that one song that everyone knows but in the process of their 10 year career they have amassed a giant, passionate following. With a new album around the corner, 'Lillith' due out Oct. 27th, it was time to have a long conversation about how and about their new music. This...
Rockcast at Aftershock - Beartooth's Caleb Shomo 23.10.2017 7:06
From playing the side stages two years ago to playing the main stage in the middle of the day it's been a pretty crazy ride for the band Beartooth. Caleb and I caught up and found out what's next in the way of new music for Beartooth.
Rockcast at Aftershock - Chris Jericho 22.10.2017 7:07
Yes he's a giant superstar, yes he's a legendary wrestler from the WWE, yes he's a household name, but at the end of the day he's a rocker like the rest of us. Chris Jericho has become one of my favorite people in rock and couldn't be happier for his band Fozzy having a top 10 rock song and a top 10 album both named "Judas"
Rockcast at Aftershock - Nothing More 22.10.2017 9:27
I've talked to Jonny Hawkins from Nothing More so many times that it was nice to catch up with the bands guitarist and bassist, Mark and Dan. Hearing about 'The Stories We Tell Ourselves' from their perspective is pretty cool. Remember the background noise is very noticeable as this conversation took place in the media tent at Aftershock.
