Mystery and Maturity in Christ (Colossians 1:24-29)

Cultivate must be structured and led in such a way that it causes us to live out our Gospel identities of Family Missionary Disciple. The way we will do that is through Gather & Go.

Cultivate is a church rooted in the gospel to produce fruitful lives according to our new identity in Christ. Who God is and what He’s done leads to who we are and how we live.

Cultivate has been shaped by a story of God’s grace, provision & presence in spite of our messiness, mistakes & lack of experience. God calls us to remember our story so that we would recall his presence & work, and so we would take his invitation to continue the story.

We are all worshippers who were made to put our hope in Jesus but, because of sin, put it on other things. We know what we worship by what we say, think, feel and sacrifice for. The way we change what we worship is by comparing it to Jesus and believing Him again.

Trying to perform our way into a relationship with God will only lead to decay and death. But a relationship based on freedom we have in Jesus will lead to joy, generosity and life.

Your God is too small! He is awesome and glorious - recognizing that we would be humble, obedient, and expectant of His intervention in our lives

To follow Jesus is to be sent on Jesus' mission, empowered by Jesus' Spirit and committed to Jesus' family.

Like the church in Antioch, God's desire is for us to be a hub of gospel transformation. This will require us to be committed to gospel-centrality, gospel equipping and gospel generosity.

God's plan from the beginning was to include all people in His family. This inclusion reveals what God is like, what we His people are like and what those far from Him are like.

Easter is a day we look at the risen Jesus and know that when we place our faith in Him, His story becomes ours and new life begins.

We are called to be people who forsake our own kingdoms for God’s Kingdom as we joyfully lay aside our own lives for the sake of Christ our King.

Like for Saul, anyone who has a personal confrontation with Jesus is chosen by Him, changed by Him and continues to see changes the longer we know Him.

We have been given the Spirit of God so that we can be people who actively and habitually listen to God and for God in absolutely everything we do.

God often allows old things to die in order for the new life of the gospel to be born.

God’s primary objective is to establish a relationship with people.

The church must balance its calling to both spread the gospel as witnesses and care for each other as family. To do that we must be servants who lay down our lives for each other because we're gripped by the gospel.

The apostles were enabled to be powerful witnesses even amidst increasing persecution because they believed that the gospel was true, that it was both a message and a life, and that it was good news regardless of the personal consequences of proclaiming it.

Satan opposes the work of the church and tries to undermine it through sin. God is vigilant about sin in order to protect the purity of His people. If God is vigilant, we need to be attentive to sin in our own lives and in the life of our community.
