We are diving into the Athanasian Creed for Trinity Sunday and exploring two main questions. Who is God? & Who is Jesus Christ? 

May 31, 2023 - There is always suffering and the world is messed up, but it’s still the world that God created, loves, and will redeem. We can rest knowing that we are safe in God’s hands, even when we mess up.

God gives His gifts to His people, though we are unworthy of such generosity. As we celebrate Pentecost and the giving of the Holy Spirit, we remember His great love shown to us. May we be grateful of His grace. 

May 26, 2023 - We are waiting for God’s greatest gift to come, the second coming of Christ, but we don’t know how long it will be. In the meantime, we are called to proclaim His word and wait patiently for God’s full and final gift to be realized in Christ’s return.

As we look at the ascension of Jesus, we see the disciples being captivated by the wrong thing. 

In our busy world, solitude can be an afterthought, pushed to the backburner. But the busier and fuller our lives become; the more solitude becomes valuable. If even Jesus regularly practiced solitude, perhaps we should give it a closer look to see what it has to offer to us.

May 10, 2023 - We can study God's word anywhere, but at church and during worship service is where God give his word and gifts to us. We’re called to present God to the people, give the gift. We encourage you to stop seeing church as an obligation, but as a privilege.

The Church serves many purposes, but the greatest of these is Jesus is present in the Church to continue the work of forgiving sin. We choose Church because Jesus is here and offers His grace. 

In our Being Challenge, we look to implement the keystone habit of Prioritizing Prayer through praying first, continually, and for each other. 

The Bible is one of God’s greatest gifts to His people. It is a fount of truth and comfort. It teaches us and instructs us in the way we should go. More than anything, it points us to Jesus and the salvation we have in Him. What a joy it is to study the Word.

We often discount the influence the people around us have. When we commit to community, we commit to influencing those closest to us to be more like Jesus.

Easter is the celebration of Christ’s victory over the spiritual enemy. Because He is risen, we stand firm in face of pressures and persecution. We do not surrender because the victory is already ours in Jesus Christ.

How did Jesus go from Coming King to Crucified King in just five days? This Palm Sunday, we look at the crowd who welcomed and sang hosanna as Jesus entered Jerusalem would be the same crowd who would call for his execution. 

March 29, 2023 - Who are you buried with? We are buried with Christ. Because we died with Christ we will live. It has nothing to do with who we are or what we’ve done – it has everything to do with who we are buried with, who we are connected with. As Christians, we rejoice because we’ve already been connected with the burial of Jesus. Even though we die, we live!

There are seasons when it seems like nothing is happening. We are not growing, we are not advancing, we are just…stuck. We can wonder if anyone is even listening or watching. Ezekiel was called to boldly proclaim the word of God to a people who were in captivity, beholden to a pagan king in a pagan land. In Ezekiel 37, we are reminded of the God we worship and has promised to do the impossible.  

March 22, 2023 - It is foolish of us to carry guilt that isn't ours or to call ourselves unclean - that is the enemy trying to put a burden on us. We are pure and righteous through the blood of Jesus and he carries that guilt for us. We are forgiven and loved by Jesus.

In Sunday's sermon we will wrestle with the question: what does God see as a priority for a Christian: the inside motivation or the behaviors—inside or outside? 

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at the healing Jesus provides for a man born blind, and how it mirrors the spiritual healing He gives to us all. Only through His gift of the Law can we see our need. Only through His gift of Gospel can we see our Savior.  

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at God’s great gift of provision through His Son Jesus Christ, that as we believe in Him, we have the blessing of eternal life.
