Founding Pastor Bill Ritchie explains the importance of being fully committed to what God wants to do.
A Restored Covenant 31.07.2013
Our God is a gracious God. Although the children of Israel had returned to their Egyptian ways with the worship of the Golden Calf, God was not finished with them. God had made a promise that He intended to keep. Exodus 34 is all about God restoring the covenant with the people. New tablets are made, God reveals Himself afresh to the people and Moses ends up radiating the glory of God!
Diagnosis: Be Revived 28.07.2013
It is often said that reputation is what people think you are and character is what God knows you are. We are all rightly concerned about our reputations. Perception is reality and we all desire a good reputation. But we must be careful to place too much trust in our reputation amongst men to the expense of what Jesus knows. This is the exact mistake that the Church in Sardis made. As Jesus did Hi...
The Presence of the Lord 24.07.2013
God forgives us. But in the physical realm, sin has consequences. After the calamity of the Golden Calf (Exodus 32), there are consequences. God does not want to travel with the children of Israel into the Promised Land. So Moses once again intercedes. Moses moves outside the camp of the people and receives a special blessing from the Lord.
Diagnosis: Be Careful 21.07.2013
“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he doesn’t exist.” There's a lot of truth to this famous movie quote. If God's people are not careful, they may not even notice Satan's handiwork in their midst, but he's alive and well. Jesus’ diagnosis in His letter to the church in Thyatira in Revelation 2 still rings true today. Because of His love for the church, His brid...
The Heart of the Matter 14.07.2013
Founding Pastor Bill Ritchie gives a powerful message.
The Golden Calf 10.07.2013
Although God had miraculously delivered the children of Israel from Egypt, the people had not completely left Egypt behind. As Moses was on Mount Sinai speaking with the Lord, the people were becoming impatient. They didn't know what happened to Moses. So they decided to take matters into their own hands and created a golden calf idol to worship. Exodus 32 is all about the rebellion of mankind and...
Diagnosis: Don't Compromise 07.07.2013
In our Case Study series, looking at the seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation 2-3, we have been seeing a forensic analysis of churches. To the church in Ephesus, we saw Jesus’ diagnosis to just add love. To the church in Smyrna, Jesus wanted them to just hold on and be faithful. Now we move to the church in Pergamos. The circumstances of the church in Pergamos was not conducive to pro...
Final Details 03.07.2013
God cares very much about worship. Not only Who we worship but also how we worship. In Exodus 30-31, we learn the last set of details about the construction of the Tabernacle. These chapters end the detailed outline of the mobile tent itself and all of its furniture. We'll get details about the bronze laver and the altar of incense and learn about the incense itself and the anointing oil. God also...
Diagnosis: Just Hang On 23.06.2013
“Why do bad things happen to good people?” This is a common question and one that is not easily answered when confronted with suffering and trials. The church of Jesus Christ is not immune to suffering. Yet, through the power of the resurrection of Jesus, God transforms sufferings. As we continue our Case Study series looking at the seven churches in Revelation 2-3, the scene shifts to Smyrna. The...
Furniture and Fashion 19.06.2013
Tabernacle is the final series in our study of the book of Exodus. The focus is now on the portable worship venue. God created His people for worship and He is specific in His desires for how and why we worship. From the layout to furniture, God details everything for a specific purpose. Christians for thousands of years have been blown away by how each of these details points us to the greater te...
Diagnosis: Just Add Love 16.06.2013
If you have a favorite criminal investigation TV show, you have been riveted watching people examine clues and assess details of a case. You know the case will be resolved by the end of the episode, but it's the process of cracking the case that keeps viewers coming back for more. Just like those TV shows, Jesus examines His church in Revelation 2-3. In those 7 letters to 7 local churches, He does...

Jesus Is Worthy 26.05.2013
How do you decide what something is worth? Seems pretty easy...we all go to the store and decide if something's worth the price they’re asking for. As Christians, it's common to say that Jesus is "worthy." But what is Jesus worthy of? When we think about it for a minute, we realize He’s worth everything we can give! In the final message in our "Because Jesus is Real, We Respond" series, Pastor Dan...
Jesus Is On Mission 19.05.2013
Because Jesus is real, we are a family of faith, fully engaged, transforming our community and our world. This is God’s vision for our Crossroads community. As we simply respond to Jesus, we are used in extraordinary ways to bless people in their places of pain in Jesus’ name. This week we hit on something very powerful...transforming our community and our world. Jesus links hands with us to accom...
Affirmation 15.05.2013
God has just delivered the children of Israel from Egypt. Between the Passover event and the deliverance at the Red Sea, God moved powerfully in the lives of the children of Israel. As the narrative continues, God chooses to meet with Moses and the children of Israel at Mt. Sinai. Sinai is where God begins to share His heart for His people. God gives His law (i.e. the righteous requirements for li...
Jesus Is Transforming Us 12.05.2013
At every moment of every day, Jesus is real, and lives with us at street level. As He folds us into His family of faith at Crossroads, we become His compassionate change agents. He is transforming us so that we can transform our community and our world. What does it mean to be transformed? As we gather this weekend, Pastor Daniel will unpack the reality of how Jesus changes us from the inside out.

Jesus Is All In 05.05.2013
We have been learning at Crossroads that "Because Jesus is real, we are a family of faith, fully-engaged, transforming our community and our world." That is God’s vision of us as His kids, and for our Crossroads community. We’ve heard that as we simply respond to Jesus, the Spirit of God is forming us into a family. That sounds well and good, but sometimes we wonder besides gathering together ever...

Jesus Is Faithful 28.04.2013
When we realize that Jesus is real and we simply respond to Him, all sorts of things begin to happen in our lives. Our vision for our church flows out of this reality, and we have been talking about who Jesus is and what He has for us. This Sunday, Pastor Daniel will continue our journey through our church body's mission and vision, focusing on the reality that Jesus is Faithful. This is a special...
