Let me try to sound wise by offering some platitudes and potentially divisive views on religion, "spiritualism" and the soul. Then I close the episode out with a loose-fitting analogy about snakes.  Do you like this format for episodes? Is it terrible and do I come off as a self-important a-hole? Feel free to let me know! (Or maybe I should type it like "Feel free to let me know?")

Anyway, here's my year-end special where I talk about how the podcast is doing, the demographics reached, and the most overlooked episodes (and they are all a bit overlooked, frankly).  Which episode did you fail to listen to? So, what can I say about "Ultramega OK"? Personally, as much as I don't want to trash the album, I have to admit there weren't really any standout tracks for me. I hate to say it, and I regret it already, but this almost feels like it's the band's demo.  "Ultramega OK" is really just OK, especially compared to their other albums. Yes, I have walked through blizzards surprisingly often. In addition to being a macho bragging point, it's also relatively safe if you plan properly ahead. Here is what I do to make my walks about as safe as possible... A second holiday special? Sure. why not?! In fact, the first one (with my guest Troutface) got a little sidetracked by weirdness...which is fine.
